But she knows something's different. Like this is only a stop on the way to somewhere else.

Her eyes are a mix of curiosity and expectance. Even if she doesn't understand exactly, she wants to.]

[And she waits patiently for him to get comfortable before, almost daintily, she plucks one of the slices up between two elongated claws. She examines it briefly, before popping it into her mouth and chewing. She even manages a small smile at the results.
