I wouldn't call it laziness exactly, at least not in this specific instance. He's quite energetic about updating, or creating an updated version of, hir to incorporate the things he's learned. The question, as ever with him, is how long that energy will last, or what he'll do with it if it outlast his enthusiasm for young Néo.
