[Well that certainly wasn't what Saber was expecting. Rather she thought he would mention literally anyone else, but for her another version of her son to be dating a version of HER in another world? That was likely the most awkward thing ever.]

As strange as this is, I must say that I think that the Saber you know seems as if she is an entirely different person then myself.

As I've chosen to spend my life with Irisviel, She's chosen to spend hers with you. That is enough to make us different people.

The Grail War... was horrific. Too many innocent lives died because of greed and selfishness. I made sure, along with your double, that this tragedy didn't continue.

My parents... my real parents... died in an event called the Fuyuki Fire. A large fire swept across a large portion of Fuyuki city, burning down homes and incinerating everything in it's path. There were people around me, screaming, dying... but then he showed up. He walked through the fire like it was nothing and with a weary smile on his face, saved me from certain death.

That man was Kiritsugu Emiya, my adoptive father and the man whose dream I've inherited.

Irisviel did much the same in my world, so much had been sacrificed for her continued existence. She simply could not let y... our son suffer because of what a few selfish souls had done.

Kiritsugu had given up his life for Irisviel's happiness...
