[really, there is only a minor amount of flailing going on. but it's flailing of teenage limbs and wings and blonde hair everywhere. she is going to hug you, yora. you had better be ready.]

[He isn't, but she's not that strong right? After a slight stagger in receiving her, Yora's not really sure about it anymore.]

Ah- Nill.

[oh god feeling so nervous what do?- Hug back maybe? Okay, hugging really faint like here.]

[oops she hadn't meant to push him off balance. at least he'd recovered. and--oh okay, he was hugging her back, that was great. after one tight squeeze she leans back a little, inspecting, making sure he was alright. uninjured, all that good stuff. but she can't stop smiling. it was so good to see someone from home.]

[Surprises do that even when you're strong as an ox. His footing stabilizes and a firm pat reaches her back to communicate things are okay despite not exactly knowing what's wrong.

She's smiling. Broad and bright making his heart beat a little faster. So he smiles back, awkwardly like a goof without knowing.]

A-are you okay?

[her wings rustle when his hand gets close, but she doesn't move away just yet, letting her arms hang loosely on his shoulders. yora was safe, yora was a protector and a good person. see, he was grinning too. she starts to think that everything... might be okay.

at the question she nods, and then almost immediately cocks her head to the side, very birdlike. rebounding the question: was he? she didn't see anything wrong with him, but she could be wrong. he could be hurting somewhere she couldn't see.]

[He nods in response in short bouts. Externally Yora's doing his best to appear calm and fine. Internally is not so where he's thoroughly shaken behind his brave face.

It works. Oh he hopes it works so because someone has to be strong. His hands are less still and not from trying. Nill's wings makes it difficult to find a place to stay still, but following her lead has them landing upon her shoulders.]

[Little white lie never hurt and it's not as if she's going to check or hit them.]

[Something is off. She thinks so, anyway. She can't exactly tell, she hasn't known Yora long enough yet. She just hopes she's wrong.

So the smile doesn't leave. She can feel his hands shaking a little, and doesn't know why they are. Maybe he was just that happy to see her, too. She isn't sure if she believes the bit about his wounds, but it isn't as if she can, well, check. So she just nods approvingly, taking his words for the truth. She gives his shoulders a light squeeze and then steps forward for another hug, this one less urgent, more gentle.]
