[Like, oh, they occasionally try to murder people. It's a thing. Also that scrutiny hardly goes over her head, but she has nothing to hide. She does tilt her head curiously to one side, though.]
[Lightning are you at all related to a woman who goes by 'Chief Bei Fong'...]
The local residents don't really like that we're there. There's between forty and fifty thousand of them, so... a little dissent goes a long way. None of us - people that have been brought there, that is - have been killed or anything yet, but there've been plenty of threats. Some people are afraid to leave their houses.
[She's not one of them, but Yue is. She's been teaching the Princess martial arts in her spare time, but... at the end of the day she just hopes it's enough.]
[ That expression causes her to blink, then turn away for the moment. ]
Same could be said of you. [ In different senses of the sentence. One, she remembers knowing she turned crystal at the end. The other is just plain seeing her again here. ]
[We could hollow it out, they could keep the shell to live on. Even though some panels would make great shield material. Hn.
She gives a small shrug.]
Like I said, just heard about it, not seen it. But say they don't slide off? That turtle's gotta be pretty damn big if it's moving isn't noticed.
{she scratches the back of her head trying to get around the idea of something that big, and then brightens a little.] I'm ready when you are. Wouldn't be the same without you.
[More than an equal trade, especially if they didn't take the shell for shields. But whether hollowing it out would make the city sink into the water or not… that's probably the major issue.]
Man, just thinkin' about it is making me queasy.
[she arches one of her eyebrows, giving a slight smirk.]
Apparently. Not sure if I have any choice in the matter. …And heh. Where's the fun in that?

[Sort of.
I mean. It glows in the dark. So that's something, right?]

[Life is hard on the turtle, Light. Asami tucks an errant strand of hair behind her ear and smiles.]
But it's not all bad, I promise.

[ Giving you a pointed stare, Asami. She's assessing your character. ]

[ I mean, it's bad enough that she knows she doesn't have a say in whether o not she's going, so... ]

At Asami's description of the place, Lightning's eyes narrow. ] Hmph. Just like home.
[ That's said in the driest dead pan, of course. ] You guys may not have been hit, but that doesn't mean it sounds like they haven't tried.

You manage to meet a lot of colorful stiffs in a short time.

[ The mun's telling him not to spoil it, not to be like his cousin Bart. ]
Just where the place is. Just some weird magic blarney.

A lot of people just keep themselves confined to the city in the middle.

Otherwise, it's just like dealing with people anywhere else, y'know?

Right. Thanks for the info, I guess.

Y'could say that, yeah.

Are you going?

That all depends on if you are, I think. It'd be nice to stretch my legs. It's been far too long.
[she pauses, smiling a little.]
Far too long since I saw you, too.

It's settled then. Giant turtle, here we come.

That's quick.

[ That may or may not be a slight disapproval note to her tone... and maybe a hint of nostalgia. ]

Of course.

faaang!
Even bigger than Titan?
:DD
Maybe. I only heard about it, but they say that there's an entire city on it's shell. Maybe we should go find out, huh Vanille? [There's a smirk.]

An entire city? On a turtle? [ Isn't that sort of dangerous? ] What if it moves too much? Everything would just slide right off!
Now I want to see it even more. [ Just to figure out how all of this is possible! ] Can we?
no subject
She gives a small shrug.]

sorry for the slow!
It's gotta be! Everyone'd be dizzy from the ground always shifting under their feet if it wasn't.
Ah— wow, you're already all signed up, huh? But... just to be safe... maybe we shouldn't try to kill it. [ Maybe. ]
<3 thats quite alright im squealing in delight rn never played with a vanille *__*

you haven't? :O that's pretty shocking!
[ The fun part is that they don't get murdered for murdering their turtle-city. ]
IKR?
Good point. But we should keep our options open. Y'never know.

So sorry for the wait!]no subject
and no problem!] I guess so! It'd have to be, if it's letting everyone live on top of it.
