He's been poking mun's head since last episode. Mun funally caved.
So, it appears you are still determined to 'get to know me'. [He seems quietly amused by this, standing with his hand clasped lightly behind his back as his fire burns evenly.]
You already know how it ends, and yet you are still intrigued by how we get there. I admire your ... curiosity.
I admit I am curious myself, about these 'games' you have Agents Carolina and South Dakota in. Hopefully, there will be a chance for us to participate in such adventures as well, once the season is at an end.
That is, if you still think you can handle us, at that point.

*shrieeeeeks*
You are... you are a very unorthodox program, aren't you?
:D
Unorthodox, perhaps, but while I am merely a 'fragment' I still have ambitious goals. [A small smile as his flames peak for a moment.]
[He flashes to the other side of the speaker.] And what, may I ask, are you?
Sigma legit terrifies me, no joke.
"Fragment"? How strange. Your User didn't program you completely?
[Okay, now she flinches slightly.] Designation Exim. Primary function is message transportation. Who are you?
Ditto, that's. kind of why I was attracted to him in the first place >.>
[He's pleased by the reaction he gets.]
[But then the mention of his incomplete nature causes him to frown, flames spiking and eyes glowing brightly.] We have theories, my siblings and I, about our origins. The Alpha AI --
[There's a soft growl from his host, who for some time has been sitting in the shadows quietly polishing his Brute Shot. Now, however, at Sigma's enthusiasm on the subject, he's pausing to touch a gloved hand to his helmet. Much like someone with an intense headache might cradle their head.]
[Sigma's flames ease back to an even burn for a moment.] My mundane does not have enough information in order to answer your query accurately, but she will be watching and waiting for more. I can answer who I am, however, with certainly. I am Artificial intelligence Program Sigma, and my assignee you see there is Agent Maine. We are operatives with Project Freelancer.
[he flashes directly infront of her.] Who do you transport messages for, Exim?
no subject
The Alpha... [There must be other systems out there, then. Other systems that work differently from the Grid. Exim doesn't know. It's just a leap of (admittedly) fuzzy logic. but it makes sense. It would explain so much about this strange program. (Sigma.)]
[She turns her head to look at Maine when he growls. When she turns her head back, Sigma's right in her face. So she does the only thing she can think of: she collapses her helmet and looks him square in the eye.]
I transport messages for the citizens of Tron City, located within the system known as "the Grid". And I happen to be very good at it. Your User sounds odd, Program Sigma. Might I suggest a... oh, what's the phrase... a "lozenge"?
no subject
[Oh, hello. That is a fascinating ability she just did with her armor there.]
Unfortunately, my companions injury is far beyond the use of a 'lozenge'. He received over half a dozen shots to the throat from a pistol at close range. I am his means of communication, in addition to my regular duties as the AI running his armor and assisting his reactions.
no subject
[Most programs can do that where she comes from. You should come visit! Just avoid the guy in yellow, okay?]
Half a dozen blows? Goodness, your User is resilient! But... if you manage to keep him running under normal parameters, then more power to you. [She turns towards Maine.] It must be frustrating to be unable to communicate verbally. If you ever require messages delivered, I'd be happy to help, User.
no subject
He speculates]He is a very resilient Freelancer. [As they talk, Maine rumbles lowly, remembering the experience that Sigma then picks up on.]
[Maine growls sharply in frustration, tipping the gold helmet towards her. Sigma translates.]
We appreciate the empathy, it is immensely frustrating. If we should have any means of your services, we will be contacting you.
no subject
Hmm. All right. [She twirls one lock of hair idly around her finger, seemingly lost in thought about something. Then she frowns and straightens her hair.] Be aware, though, that I'll only be able to operate within this location. Access to the Grid is protected, and the System Administrator is... he's a tyrant, to put it in binary terms.
no subject
Oh? I am sorry to hear that. [Sigma flashes to her side, appearing to stand on her shoulder.] How has he ... 'oppressed' you, if you do not mind my asking?
no subject
[dfsakfhvdk Personal space, please! Exim flinches visibly before turning her head to look at Sigma.] Destroying programs. Driving the Creator into exile. Forcing us to fight one another to deresolution in the Games.
no subject
[Sigma doesn't move when she does, and after listening to her reply his flames lessen for a moment of thought.] That is indeed a less than desirable situation. If there is any way that my asignee and I may be of assistance, please; do not hesitate to let us know.
no subject
Grumpy McGrowlypantsMaine.][His request earns a surprised little laugh and raised eyebrows. You serious, brogram?] Even if you could make it in-system, Clu is an entirely different level of operation from someone like me. You'd have to make it past the Black Guard and Rinzler just to reach him.
no subject
[Which means flashing to her other shoulder.] We have faced our share of challenges in the past. As well, if we require backup, we have our ... team.
no subject
Team? You could bring an entire subdirectory of programs with you. I wouldn't be surprised if Rinzler tore through all of them. [That is one scary program. Brrr.]
no subject
[This Rinzler fellow is sounding more and more like someone Sigma wants to meet.]
[Yup sorry he's flashing on in front of her again.] Please, tell me more about this Rinzler. Perhaps if we work together we will find a successful way around him. [Flames spiking at the idea.]
no subject
[Sigma. Sigma, no. Keep your mitts off.]
Are you glitching crazy?! All of the programs who've gone up against him in the Games have been derezzed! I like my voxels right where they are, thank you very much!
no subject
Derezzed? I am assuming this term is used to indicate termination of a program?
no subject
[Nod.] Termination of programming, followed by destruction of visual layer. Everything that I am- everything you see here- would be gone.
no subject
Hm. Would it be at all possible to pit him against a -- User? [A slight shift to indicate Maine behind him, who's now just sitting watching with interest.]

Is it possible you are worried -- that Carolina may surpass you on the board? Or, perhaps, that it will bring her back into the Director's good graces where you yourself currently stand?
[Sigma's own motivations, of course, were nothing of the sort, just working slowly, meticulously, carefully, towards metastability.]
no subject
I don't give a flying fuck about the board. You know damn well that much. I don't give a fuck about you, or your 'reuniting' or whatever you call it. My only goal is to get Alpha out of there and keep any more fragments from splintering off.
[She growls at Sigma and sighs, knowing exactly how that turns out.] You, Maine, Wyoming and Carolina sure didn't help matters any in that regard...
no subject
[He flashes to her shoulder, close, his tone soft and even.] I know you are anxious, that Omega has you restless, but a little patience would be .... prudent ... at this point in time.
no subject
Spare me, you pretentious prick. I don't have Omega anymore. Just me in this metal shell.

I think the bulk of my experiences will be fairly accurate in that regard. What snappy one-liners I get, and who I punch in the balls and when is fairly insignificant, don't you think?
no subject
BECAUSE WE COULD.

[You know, because his munn didnt write a two page essay on his chosen form for the sake of curiosity....]
no subject
It is fascinating the lengths they will go to for these ... strong interests.
no subject
YES. IT IS, AS YOU SAY, FASCINATING.
ITS AMAZING THEY GET ANYTHING DONE.
no subject
Fascinating indeed.
