So... much... to do...
I... Yes, we know you've been through a lot this past month. You still have a lot on your mind and no one blames you for a day or two spent too distracted to get anything done, so you should stop beating yourself up over that. Everyone has told you that they don't mind waiting, so listen to them. Just because some people haven't been so patient in the past doesn't mean everyone is like them. Some people actually do mean what they say, of course. And you have done a pretty good job at getting back on track, even after all this— probably a better one than most in your situation would have been able to.
That's why I'm very grateful you've been allowing me more time and attention lately. Thank you for that. I'm sure the queen is also very glad too. From both of us: thank you. I know you'll get to starting that post eventually, so don't let it add to your stress right now. I'm liking the spontaneous moments with Arthur and the others that we have, and we have so much to plan for now that we've decided on the family matter! That'll keep us all plenty busy while you take a little more time to get your head screwed back on straight! (And, obviously, I'd appreciate any spare moments you can spend on listening to me tell you more about the kingdom, in case you were wondering about that. Seriously, who wouldn't?)
Oh, and, uh, lastly, we're all proud of you for dealing with that too; it had its moments, but running yourself ragged over something like that was not worth it. It's about time you accepted it. One day at a time with the more important and serious things now, right? Right!

Yes, please let her know that I'm also very thankful that she's letting you spend more time with me, dear. [He always misses him when he's not around, so this development is good, especially given the family matter his husband mentioned.] And my Mundane wants to reassure her too that she doesn't mind waiting in the least as she understands.

because she is so lazyso she's glad for that! The King smiles back and takes the Queen's hand in his with a nod. ]
'Sure will. We're both thankful for the patience, of course. And I'm glad you haven't let that other resident in the headspace upset you too much. He really shouldn't talk about things he doesn't know a lot about.
[ Gosh, he could still probably punch the Empire for all those things he said. Or at least give him a good pinch on the arm for it! Really... He doesn't know what the actual Americas see in him; he's always in such a foul mood! ]
no subject
[He draws closer after the King takes his hand, tangling their fingers together and giving his hand a squeeze. The Queen wishes to give his King some more reassurance.]
I'm all right, really. And it helps that you're here, of course. Your presence all the more proves that what he said are false.
[A lot of people here would probably pay to see the King pinch the Empire on the arm! He might just get the chance eventually now that the Empire has been more vocal. Maybe after Prussia has finally taken his turn on once more marking this place with his so-called Awesome.]

...Yeah, if Empy does get his shot at fame too, he'll probably, most likely, definitely receive some sort of retribution. The only thing that's kept the King from doing anything "rash" about him is that the Queen asked him not to— and that the Empire only seems to come out of his very fashionable cave when Amelia is around. ]
He hasn't been giving anyone anymore trouble, has he?
no subject
[And probably. The Empire will probably make his own appearance soon enough.]
No, not recently. [The Queen shakes his head and smiles before giving Alfred's hand another squeeze, his thumb lightly, affectionately grazing over the side of his King's hand.] Is there anything special going on there?
no subject
No, nothing much. She's still working on applications for the nations, for those places they're going. She's gotten a little further in Amelia's, but she keeps putting them off for some reason. I think she's just nervous. She hasn't done something like this in a while.

He's heard about this queen too from the same source and he's... rather effectively disturbed by what he's heard, if he was hard-pressed for honesty. That's not going to stop him from rewarding the unfamiliar monarch for his rudeness though with what he figures is probably a very unconventional, if even tolerated, response: the King of Spades laughs, and moves to put his arms around the queen, leaning close to press a kiss to his cheek. ]
I know we haven't seen each other in a while, but this isn't like you!
no subject
I-it's not like I was staring at you. I don't know what you mean!
no subject
This attitude again? All right, then I'm sure you won't mind me not staring right back at you.
no subject
I... should warn you. I am not your Queen. Y-you shouldn't b-be cheating on him! [red faced]

Whatever are you going on about now?
no subject
What do you—?
[ Oh, but the answer is interrupted by Alfred suddenly realizing this is the queen he hasn't seen in months and he obviously is going to be really excited about this. His excitement is translated by instantly grabbing the queen's hand and twirling him playfully. ]
I think the more appropriate question is "where have you been?" and I'm the one who gets to ask it!
no subject
The queen goes along with the twirl, his determinedly resolute scowl growing. He has missed the king, but no way is he going to make it so obvious. He has a reputation to uphold as a refined monarch (or Queen Stick-Up-His-Arse, whichever seems more fitting).]
Yes, right. I've been trapped inside the labyrinth of a young girl's mind. The journey was difficult, beset by many dead ends and traps, but apparently I've made it out in one piece.
[The free hand goes onto his own hip, trying his best to look reprimanding, even as he is twirled.]
To find you rambling! What is all this about? And can it be resolved quickly? We don't need others to see...
no subject
I was not rambling! I was just having a few words with the girl whose head I was trapped in for a while.
[ Nevermind that it's true, he also was sort of allowed outside in an attempt to lure this queen out. ]
There's nothing to worry about here.
[ Alfred stops twirling Arthur now, but he places one hand on the other man's unoccupied hip, leaning close to him. ]
Are you worried? For me?

Your awesome place? Is this the part where you tell me how awesome you are in your world and I'm supposed to be impressed?

At least some people can enjoy the freedom of a little attention. Consider yourself lucky!
[He quietly side-eyes his mun, somewhat, then pauses to clear his throat, fiddling with his bowtie a little before going on.]
What are you rambling on about, anyway? Nothing to worry about, I hope.
no subject
Everything's fine! Perfect. Well, as close to perfect as it can get, considering the... problems with... Manny.
[ That stupid computer. What good is technology if it's just gonna crap out on your after a few years! That's what he'd like to know, seriously. ]
no subject
Man-? Oh. Oh, that thing. I see. Well... I, uh, hope we'll--
[He stops mid sentence, clearing his throat and terribly aware of the heat form over his ears and cheeks, before resuming.]
I- I hope we'll see each other often still, despite our muns' technology. Just... so I can be sure you keep out of any trouble, of course.
no subject
Oh, really? What sort of trouble do you think I'm going to get into? And what do you plan to do to get me out of any of it?
no subject
Well, I don't know exactly, but running a kingdom can be difficult business, I'm sure! I'll make sure the decisions you make are the right ones. To do that I might have to see you often. But it's just... for the kingdom, of course.
