According to her, you do not "die" unless you are being permanantly taken away from Nautilius. Don't ask how I know this, I'm just taking it word for word.

Apparently it will "strengthen" my character in a certain way.

I'm working on it as we speak, but she's rather like another stubborn little badger I know...once she has her mind set on a goal, it's difficult to sway her...
