A family that I'll have to leave most of behind. I am glad that I have what I do, but I grew up without a father and won't have one again when I go back home. I met a sister in Vatheon that will never exist in my time. My life isn't exactly all roses.

[Trunks may or may not notice the other looking a bit paler and a bit pained since some of his childhood memories did surface to haunt him. Why does this always happen? They're meaningless and dead, they need to stay away and never surface again. Regardless, he tries to act as though nothing is bothering him.]

[No. Stop telling him lies, even if he is a liar himself and is used to lies, spinning stories, and breaking promises among other things not only from his own being but from others around him. But this... No, he's not about to break down and let things out, to expose himself to someone who could never understand the pains and torment he went through. The way his emotions are gone and his heart is hollow, how he can't even cry properly anymore. He'll never let anyone near his heart, or what's left of it. No one can see the scars and broken pieces of him that are left. Even his "friends" from back home never truly saw his true emotions or knew about all of his past that he wants to make sure continues to lay beneath the ground, never seeing the light of day. But at the same time, he doesn't know what to change the subject to, he finds himself at a standstill with everything.]

I'm afraid I'm at a loss for words.

I was training with him for two years. He's not exactly the type to allow a stop for hair trimming, and unlike his, mine grows.

[It's a thing. Also 'with' might be a bit inaccurate, as it implies they actually did things together rather than just in the same bizarre warped time-space room.]

You're showing off a new look Trunks, so therefore you need to dress it up a bit. [He's looking up and down at him, leering a bit too.] We could tie your hair back with a nice hair tie and even pierce your ears. Maybe get a nice shade of clothing that suits you, either purple or blue possibly even white.

Then we can work from there, maybe a blue suit will work and a white tie to go nicely with it. As for the earrings, they'd be plain silver ones so you need not worry about them being overly gaudy. I thought about ones with little sapphires, but perhaps that's too much blue. For the hair tie, perhaps white to match the tie around your neck.
