Stop it right now. You're just trying to play Devil's Advocate by explaining Texas' origin, but it won't. Work. I watched her deliver a fatal blow to a teammate. This from the woman who proclaimed 'never abandon your team'. [CT, at least, gave her something to think about. Whether or not she puts any stock into it is yet to be seen.]
I agree with you there; Texas doesn't know what team is.
Speaking of which, I know you're glad I finally got a bit of meat in this episode, you've made no secret about that. But, it didn't save CT, so I would appreciate it if you'd shut. The fuck. up.

I know exactly what a team is. A team doesn't try to compete with each other. A team doesn't feed intel to the enemy for their own self-interests. A team doesn't steal from a teammate.
The day she signed on with the resistance, she stopped being a part of the team. I know better than anyone in this goddamn project just what a team fucking is. You don't get to pass judgement on me. You're just a stupid little girl who thinks she's all badass.

[Because, hello, who was it that even got them into the bunker? Teamwork. Via Carolina.]
As for CT, we could have subdued her, brought her and her armor in, unharmed. She may have just been on the wrong side of the fence.
[Sorry, Tex, Carolina's sense of team goes above all else. Even the Director.]

CT was a soldier. She knew what she was doing, and what the consequences would be. If she wasn't ready to die for her cause, then she had no business picking up a gun in the first place.
Going in with anything less than 100% of your force would've been an insult. Besides, you held back and look where that got us. CT is dead, and the resistance leader got away. Great job there.

[CT had also been part of her team, and even if she turned tail, Carolina still felt responsible. Which is why she shuts up for a moment and just glares at Texas through her visor. But, at that last part, she adds with a low, dark tone;]
No, Texas, CT is dead because of you.
-- and in regards to this? The board means shit to you because you've never had to work at it. Would you be so adamant if you were anywhere else on that list? If you were last?
[There was, also, the oppressing matter of field assignments. So far it hadn't been an issue as Texas always seemed to work alone, but considering the Director's words before the Sarcophagus mission -- as our #1 Carolina will be leading from the field -- she had the distinct worry that at any time, Texas could usurp command of her team. And after seeing how coldly she dispatched CT? Carolina coveted that position and the ability it would give her to protect her team more then anything.]

Yeah, I killed her. Big fucking deal. She was dead weight and a traitor to boot. You think she would've thought twice before shooting you in the face? I can guarantee you she wouldn't have.
The board doesn't mean shit to me because I don't give a flying fuck about it. I work best alone when people like you don't constantly question me. I've taken down entire bases, even beat a guy to death with his own goddamn skull. I even took a handful of Sim-troopers and managed to bring down Maine after he started collecting AI fragments.
You know why I was able to do that? Because those Sim-troopers knew better than to fucking question my judgement. I'm better than you in every way, Carolina. Even in the leadership department. Best get fucking used to it before I put a goddamn bullet between your eyes.

[She will never not include CT in that spread, as well, because she will never not wonder if she could have reasoned with her, somehow helped her.]
My mundane is wondering if you've been watching the same series she has, because she remembers things quite differently. She says you didn't lead the simulation soldiers, they happened to show up. After you'd been taken by the Meta. [It wasn't Maine. Not at that point. And that thought stings at Carolina.]
You're not a better leader then me, because you don't lead. [This said with conviction.] And from what I'm being told? Later on, it doesn't end well when you do. What is this my mundane is telling me about Texas is designed to fail? Care to explain that?

Meh, minor detail. The fact remains that they took out Maine after I kicked their asses into gear.
No, I don't lead. I just get my missions done. And apparently your missions too. You're too busy leading to get any shit done.
[Tex clenches her fists at that last one though.] If you value your life, you will not repeat yourself.
