You're playing the stupid adolescent game with the relationship of not knowing what the hell you want out of the relationship or where you even want it to go. After running into it headlong. You're acting like a damn teenager who has no clue. Kasen's too old for that. Either play it like an adult or don't bother with it at all.

If what I am seeing is any indication, she wants to love you, she wants to form the worldly attachment that would essentially eradicate the entire point of being a hermit, and with a shinigami to boot which double completely negates the hermit thing because now guess how easy it would be for Hell to find her. She's giving that up because of you and you're not getting any of it.

And you know what? This is the second time she's been in this situation and I bet she has even less patience for your wishy-washy being a dumbass. So do something before she does something and you end up wishing you'd acted sooner and not completely ruined it for yourself.

But you're right, I can't give my everything, I can't dedicate myself in such a way. That sort of thing is just a promise of forever and that would be a lie.

And hell, she's more practical than I am and I absolutely would refuse to get attached to anything in that place because of how temporary anything was, but for some reason she did that weird thing where she gets rash and makes a bad decision because she's not used to dealing with those kinds of feelings. She has to know nothing is going to last in that place anyway.

And yet, there she goes, willing to do that for you.

I don't know what you could have possibly done to get her so invested in you, shinigami, because you are far from good partner material, but I wouldn't think she'd just do it lightly.

I kind of want to go pick her brain now.
