[ Both hands curl at the curve of her waist and squeeze teasingly. ]

[ Pretending to consider it, her wrists drape over his shoulders. ]

[ Mako's begun to pull her close again, this time until their hips meet. ]

[ Almost tiredly, she traces his jaw-line with her nose and nestles into the curve of his neck. ]

I'm not sure that carousel place even has any satomobiles.

[ He closes his eyes to her touch, arms now sliding around her waist. He cups the back of her left shoulder with a hand, letting her warmth and the combined scent of her perfume and shampoo wash over and relax him. ]

It won't kill us to have to walk everywhere.

[ He's always so warm and reassuring, it's a load off her shoulders just to be held by him. As such, he gets a peck on the corner of his lips for his trouble. ]

I don't mind walking anywhere with you, you know that.

[ Or should remember, at least. ]

[ A peck? Is that it? Doesn't matter, he'll take what he can get. If it's pecks and cuddling hugs, Mako will take that over nothing any day. ]

[ Sliding a comforting hand through his hair, the embrace collects him into her tall frame. ~~At least she isn't as short as Korra, HUH?~~ ]

[ Welp. There's the tension again. Mako is silent as he lifts his head to look at her. ]

I'm not sure what else you expect me to say. Can you just give me a little time to process everything?

[ Really, Mako. That tension should disappear forever, right under the gentle touch to his face. ]

[ The fight goes out of him once her fingers brush his cheek. Dammit, Asami. A heavy exhale and his shoulders slump. He closes his eyes. ]

Faith. Just sound like you have some faith left at least.

[ Okay. Now the fight's back. Why is it always like this between them? Mako's hold on her goes lax. He straightens up, lets his hands rest loosely at her waist. ]
