It can be quite hard even to place someone with no 'canon' ties, as you say. I wish you only the best. My mundane has often considered opening a free-for-all of some kind, but her lack of experience in the field seems to spook her out of it at the last minute each time she plans on going ahead. I'm sure you will find a stable placement in time.

I can agree there. I think perhaps if my mundane would spend less time moping around the house and more time with a pencil in her hand we would all be better off.

Sitting around can be rewarding enough. I would much prefer a life of quiet observation than a life of being thrown from one dangerous adventure to the next. Still, so few seem to agree with me that at this point I can only hope you find what you're looking for.
