I wish it were as simple as talk. It's a negotiation. It seems I have to bargain for my rights to any sort of freedom.

[So far he has the rights to his books. In exchange, he's getting shipped to space.]

Let me ask you this: if you've experience time, felt and live events, does it mean still mean that time has not passed even though we return to the same point afterwards?

Time passes of course, at least where you are. There's no denying that, but as I understand it one's exit and return to their original world takes place in the same moment. At the very least those who depend on us would not be left hanging, or perhaps even worrying...

No, I don't, though knowing what I do now, I'd hardly like to forget everything I've seen, everyone I've met.

[It gave her some small hope that the Avengers she'd met existed. That the people she knew in her world, had the potential to be more like the Avengers on Sacrosanct. Even if they didn't know she and Pietro and were.]

I have little value for blissful ignorance when knowing something could potentially be the difference between...catastrophe or a near miss of some kind.

I'm not sure I'd agree with that. It seems more accurate to say we blaze our own trail. I've seen the probabilities, the possibilities of other paths. The small things can have large impacts.

Small things could have large impacts, I won't argue that. But what are the probabilities, the possibilities of that? We might not even realize it ourselves, but we're creatures of habit more often than not.

[Oh Thor, as far as she's concerned, she is highest authority of probabilities and possibilities. She actually calculated the odds once, but they were high enough that it would prove his point more than hers.]

Perhaps, but habit alone does not determine our path. Life is what happens around us and how we react to it, and our reactions are in turn things that happen in the lives of others. [Have a shrug.] Knowing what I do, I find it hard to believe in "destiny."

Likewise, then. Knowing what I do, having seen what I have seen, destiny isn't as hard to believe as you might expect. In the end, how much will it influence your life will depends on how much you believe in it.
