Four in the morning has been kind to me in the past, however I'd rather not sit around and reformat in the middle of the wee hours of the morning.
My patience has a tendency to wear just a little thin around this time.
I'm not sure how their economy works. We would have to wait to see how it all functioned when we got there.
There are most certainly rich people around. What they decide to do with their time, however, is an entirely different story all-together.
They could very well enjoy watching paint dry or something equally as stupid and dull.
You might not have the luxury of picking a client that isn't "shitty".
We don't know what this place will throw at us so we have to be prepared for pretty much anything.
For all we know we wont even have the chance to look for respective clients. Do you think they would automatically trust some kid from the slums to defend not only their lives but their assets?
It's always good to have a couple of different plans in mind when you are going in to situations like these. It's better to have plans that you don't end up needing to use than to have no plan and be left high and dry.

Although if a person is in the mindset to be making pacts I'd hope they would take it seriously.
Not that the whole pact-making thing seems any kind of serious to me anyway. It's a little on the childish side, but I guess they're kind of cute for doing it in that weird not sure if they should be taking something like this so seriously kind of way.
The thought and effort is appreciated though.
You should always assume the worst as your baseline. That way if things turn out better than you expected them to you don't have to worry so much about what could have happened in the beginning and focus on pushing yourself forward.
You need to plan for every scenario, worst case or otherwise, if you really do want to survive in a world that is constantly out to get you.
Sure, winging it can be good on occasion and that isn't to say that a person would be able to account for every single potential outcome. We are people, not computers, but that doesn't mean we can't be prepared for what life decides to throw at us.
If you don't have a plan, shit hits the fan.

The fact that you don't believe any prep work is helpful is a testament to your poor plan-making skills.
I have found that being prepared is far more useful than just going in blind.
How many times have you wanted to redo something because you didn't think it through well enough? We all do it, it's perfectly human.
I just like for that moment to happen less, live with less regrets and all that. Ergo, I like having a plan. Preferably a good one.
