Don't give me that "maybe a different game" crap. We both know you're not serious about looking for a game for me. You've never managed to be active in more than one game at a time, and I don't think you're going to start now.

So do us both a favor. Just drop it and let me get back to business.

Oh come now, Carol Danvers. Are you so certain that there is no place amid all these games that you might find worthy? Does not the warrior blood in your veins cry out for a challenge?

Hey, I'm not the problem here. I love a good fight as much as anyone, but she's not serious about it. She's all talk.

[Yes, she can tell how serious he is.]

[Well, this IS Herc so it's not like he's a jerk about it. He totes respects her worth as a woman and a fellow Avenger, too! (Besides, didn't she have some business-company-agenty thing going on? He tends to tune out the business talk.)

And as much as ANYONE, Carol? You know it's talk like that that suggests he should unleash The Gift.] Aye, a wishy-washy mundane can be a stultifying influence indeed. You must catch her interest, force her to wish to speak with your voice! Drown out her thoughts with your own conceptualizing, and make her want to bring you out because she can't stand to bottle you up the longer!

Thus, towards that end. Given all the choice in the world, what would you do and where would you go?

So you're saying I should annoy her into doing something with me? [She looks amused, then thoughtful.] I guess that could work. I'd have to shout pretty loud to be heard over the others in here.

[And a shrug.] Somewhere I could be useful. I'm not much for sitting around.

...Hmm. There are a few places that might suit you, then; I've heard tell of a game called

lastvoyages that could likely use your might. Likewise, there's

capeandcowl for a situation somewhat closer to home... and I had been considering

ageofmythology, there's much that can be done there.

Really, there's no shortage of options for doing good. The only trouble is picking a place, and for that you'd only need to ask yourself "How would I be happiest in doing good?"

If it was up to me I'd just go back to my life, but I guess that's not on the table.

Kind of an interesting idea though, like being able to choose an alternate universe to live in.
