[ She looks a bit hopeful and is simply guessing more than anything. Since he left the Order she's missed him quite a bit. ]

[He nods with a smile.]

If everything goes well, you'll be coming in at a very good time. He could really use your help.

[ A nod of her head and despite her worry she can keep smiling. ]

It's nice to meet you, Asuka. I'm Lenalee Lee.

[There's a momentary pause and a deep breath.]

I guess so now in relation to what has happened. We probably won't remember this conversation later, so I guess it's okay that I tell you. There was a huge battle and both myself and Allen were caught in it. Allen lost a lot of friends and one in particular he was strongly reacting to.

I can't say for certain, but I do think that if you came there to help him out of his despair, he'll cope a lot better. It's not saying he's about to go into the deep end but I do worry about him.

He cares so much and I hope that with you there he'll be even better. I wish I could tell you more and I'm sorry if I'm a bit vague, but that's all I can really say without giving too much away.

[ Her eyes widened in surprise of those words, hurt and concern flashing over her face hearing that. Allen was hurting from loss at this place as well?

Biting her lower lip a bit she casts her gaze down briefly but is shaken from that set of thoughts when Asuka mentioned that if she was there that she would be able to help him through his despair. After what had happened at home, she's glad to hear he's okay in some form but now she seems almost determined to be by his side now.

She refuses to let him go off by himself again. ]

I appreciate it. I hope I can get in so I can help Allen through this. I... I don't want to see him suffer. He doesn't deserve it..

Nobody does and it hurts me seeing my friend like that. There's only so much I can do.

[He would go through any lengths to help him and even beyond if he could manage it but this was his best option. He's really hoping that she can take care of the issue.]

On a happier note, at least Timcampy hasn't bitten my nose off yet.

[ Nodding softly in understanding from that, it's after that she does seem to perk up a little. It's enough to make her smile again; even albeit slightly. ]

[ Brushes some hair behind an ear, trying to keep thoughts positive. ]

It will be nice to see him again after all this time.

[Seemingly a little confused, Asuka raises his brow in question.]

That's a funny way to show something positive. I guess that's a good thing then. At first, I thought he was just testing me.

[Noticing the small action with her fingers, he looks away with a soft sigh.]

I'm sure he'll be happy to see you too. It would be good to see him smile again. I would like that more than anything; for everyone to find peace among the chaos is my hope.

[He hasn't seen the reserve page and the mun has kept him in the dark about it too so picture him surprised. Oh snap gotta hide all the bandages and injuries]

[ You can't hide all of that from her, Allen. Cue the worried look on her face when she catches sight of those bandages and injuries. ]

[Okay Allen just act natural. You're always getting banged up so that's actually an advantage. No need to mention those who died no no no no just smile and answer the right questions.]

[trying to beam as always though ow it hurts to move too much of his body and that includes his face so it doesn't really go all the way.]

Oh um I just got caught up in a big fight over in the city.

[The city that no longer exists that is but hey also not on the "to mention" list.]

[ She's spent enough time around you to know when you're trying to hide things from her and she doesn't like it one bit. This time she can tell with how he's smiling like that.

If Allen was any less injured she would have kicked him aside the head for being an idiot and getting too involved in things. ~~even if she would have willingly fought beside him if she'd been there.~~ ]

If you're that badly hurt then the fight really must have been quite bad..

[ A pause. ]

What... of the city after the fight?

[She really knows him far too well for his own good. Still the look on her face is more than enough to make him falter out of guilt more than anything else.]

It's already over so brooding over it won't help any.

[Then comes the question he feared the most.]

W-Well I don't really know...

[Avoiding eye contact now. Technically that was a half lie since the whole city has been obscured with smoke when he last saw it but the explosion scale and force at the very least suggests to him that most likely none of those buildings are still standing and that includes his little private house by the lake where Lenalee's room once was.]

[ Which isn't going to change how she feels about it. The hurt and sadness shows in her eyes more than anything else, though she soon frowns a bit when he avoids eye contact with her. ]

Allen...

I'm sorry.

[ Even if she wasn't there, she can't help but feel bad for what happened. ]

You shouldn't be so reckless. [ It's not that she doesn't understand his want to fight but she just doesn't want to lose him, that's all. ] I may not be there but... I don't want to lose you again.

[That look of hers actually hurts. Mostly because he is the cause for it.]

[And then she apologizes which has him more shocked than anything. Why? Why apologize when she wasn't even there? Quick he has to do something he has to...]

[...lose him? Why did he just feel his heart drop to the pit of his stomach at those words. He's so far out of date he doesn't even know what's going on back in his world.]

[He's dreading the answer for his next question. Did it finally happen? Did he finally succumb? Well at least Lenalee seems alive...unless this is one of those situations in which the dead arrive in Somarium...oh god no he doesn't even want to imagine that!]

What do you mean by...lose me?

[ Surprise flashes over her face at that and she visibly hesitates a bit before even wondering how to word this. She still remembers what he said to her before he left and that had been months ago. ]

Ah... There was an attack and... you escaped the Order with a Noah... The Order commanded all Exorcists to capture you because you were classified as a Noah now...

[ It's not something she likes talking about it and she remembers it as if it was yesterday. Resisting the urge to hug you so bad right now. ]

I... I saw you before you left, using the gate... I haven't seen you since then, Allen...

[The flood of information almost knocks him off his feet. An attack? Again? And he left with the Noah!? But what was worse...the Order had marked him as an enemy. That was something he never wanted to imagine, the human purpose of his existence turned against him like that.]

[He can tell she's uncomfortable about it all and it pains him to have to question her at a time like this.]

Was I....was I still myself when I left?
