Okay, look. Before you take me anywhere we've got to sit down and have a major talk about how this is going to go.

First, I need my suit. Showing up naked on a spaceship won't work because I will literally disintegrate into a bunch of jumped-up molecules that don't talk to each other long enough to form a brainwave. I know you like to challenge yourself, honey, but trust me: you do not want to play a mass of thoughtless particles. You will be bored out of your skull. And I'll be effectively dead.

Second, what's all this talk about nerfing me? Teleporting is kind of what I do. It's why I got hired, besides the fact that I look amazing in a dress and someone needed to fill the gaping void in certain people's hearts. It's part of who I am. I know you said no one's taking all my powers away, but jeez, what's a girl got to do to feel good about herself these days?

Uh, we've got a nice set of mostly-not-destroyed baths in a pretty modern bathhouse? An incredibly large Media Library? Rooms that can literally appear to be whatever it is you want them to be?

All free. A few people have a sort of bartering system going on, but it isn't over the baths. Maybe special soaps [ said with a small smile ] but even then, not so much.

A whole different world, from a country called the Land of Fire. It's... if you think of it as like Japan, only also not like Japan at all, you may have a vague idea. Include ninjas, and you're getting closer, if your Earth is anything like half the others people've come from.

[Venus laughs. Sakura's a witty one! Kind of like Dead Girl but without the, you know, deadness. Or the general unpleasantness.]

I think we fought ninjas once! It was a PR stunt, though. They weren't very good ninjas. [Venus takes a seat and crosses her legs in a way that's simultaneously modest and suggestive, just like a young starlet should.] So that makes you a ninja, then?

Kuniochi if you want to use technical terms, shinobi for more general, and ninja in just about every world that has an idea of ninjas as fighters.

[ She quirks up an eyebrow. ]

If I got paid for every time someone tells me about the group of either evil or incompetent ninja they've fought... Sounds like we're more of a joke on just about every world -- if we're not totally fictional. Or all secret assassins with really strange ideas of honor.

...You know, you have a point. Hitting them would also work. Although in my industry we tend to let competition implode so we look like we got our hands clean.
