Be realistic. This? Is a bad idea.
You didn't want to join that game to begin with, what makes you think it's going to be any easier dragging me into it?
I'm not going to be able to morph, and sure that's great that Al will be human. I think it's pretty fucked up he's going to spend the rest of his life as a cat in the first place. But this is ridiculous, and you know it.
To top it off, where do you idiots get the idea that my "gothic taste" - as you put it - would possess me to dress like that?
If anything I should be wearing t-shirts with kickass gargoyles on them. I am so glad canon me doesn't have to deal with your world in the 90's.
And Al? You don't really think he's going to stick around if he does show up, do you? I mean, come on. If that's the only reason you're doing it, you might as well stop right now. What are you going to do if he doesn't- drop?
Face it, this is a bad idea.

[ C'mon, really, what else would he pinged by? ]
no subject
[Just the fact that you have no idea what he's talking about is evidence enough that he should not explain.]
no subject
[ So being a cat would be weird but still— Kitties ;///; ]
That sounds like weird place of you to go to, Brother...
no subject
The 'game mechanics' will keep you in your human morph permanently. [A sigh.] Just like I won't be able to morph either.
[Which- ... probably means nothing to you.
Because you're not his brother, not his anyway.]
no subject
Oh. [ Blink. ] So you can normally change into an animal? What kind would Brother change into if the game let you?
no subject
Which is why it's pointless to pick me specifically for a game we can't do that in.

And with how rusty they both are, it's just a little ridiculous. Although mine's hoping canon reviewing and rehashing our history will help.
no subject
Away from this place your player's looking at, you can morph?
no subject
But- it almost seemed like she didn't believe him more than anything.]
Yeah.. so what's it to you?
no subject
no subject
Is she insinuating she should know him?]
All right.... I've never seen you before either. [gold eyes narrow slightly, thoughtfully... Especially at the wording in that last part there.]
You heard of someone being stuck as something else?
no subject
[ Hmm. Collette's considering this guy. Yeerk with the ability? Hard to tell. By the time she and the rest of the Auxiliaries were fighting, it wasn't long before it was the Yeerk Controllers who were morphing and fighting right back at them with animal morphs of their own. ]
Can't be too careful about the time, I guess.
no subject
So.... you're telling me you can morph? [Because she knows too much to try to play innocent now. He didn't mention how Al got stuck as a cat, and only anyone with the knowledge would know about the time limit.]
no subject
[ This is weeeeird. ]
What are you morphing for? It's pretty cool stuff -- really cool stuff -- but it's not exactly something people just wake up being able to do.
[ Hey, wheelchair girl wants to know the how and why this kid's ended up with it. Collette, if you only knew the potential of AUs! ]
no subject
[Funny how that works.]
Oh, you know. Saving the planet. [This is said a bit dismissively as if meant as a joke.] You can only go so far entertaining kids at parties...
I don't know why everyone thinks the super hero idea is so bad though. We'd be so popular.
[A beat.] What about you?
no subject
Yeah, I know! They could call you the Super Six, or just stick with the Animorphs. Five kids and an Andalite, versus the Yeerk Invasion. Unless that part's not quite the same for you.
[ She straightens up, shoulders falling back a bit as her chest comes out. Haha! Yeah, almost like striking a pose. ]
I'm the backup. Part of it at least!
no subject
See, that's exactly what I'm talking about!
[At the last part he quirks an eyebrow though. The 'back up'.]
You don't seem as out there as Ling, so I'm guessing not the alien back up.
[More kids? How did they expect to save the world with more kids-? That seemed pretty risky.]
no subject
Alien? No way! I'm as human as human can be! Besides, what Andalite would choose a morph like me?
[ Seriously. ]
It's a total disadvantage for everything but the element of surprise.
[ She winks. ]
no subject
Ling combined all our DNA to get himself a human morph, you could've done the same thing.
[And if she's talking about the wheel chair - yeah, all the more reason. Who would suspect her to be four legged with a tail?]
So in your world, whoever first gained the ability... They gave it to more kids. [A pause.] Sounds dangerous, I hope they knew what they were doing.
no subject
[ She bites down on her lip, then smiles again. ]
It's not something they decided for the heck of it. They needed us... and the Yeerks wouldn't want us.
[ Not that she seems bothered by this. Cassie and Jake and Marco had dodged around directly stating the logic behind why them when they'd been there with James, but it wasn't hard to guess. ]
no subject
[Matt's known a version of Ed, and he could do something just as much like magic as morphing, but totally different from it.]
I can, too. Um. [He assumes 'how?' will be the first question.] There was booze. And a glowy cube thing.
