voice test, canon is The Newsroom
I'm not sure there's any point to this besides the brilliant acceptance of new technology as a means of self expression, and unfortunately I don't think it's likely you'll be having anyone to express my self with, so if you don't mind I've got alerts to watch and a post to write for a nonfiction blog that people actually read. At least, I think people read it. I hope they do, because that's what I'm paid for, and if nobody's reading the blog, then there will be no blog and therefore no blogger, and I'll need to find a new job. So make that alerts to watch, a blog post to write, and a resume to update in case of emergency.

So what is it that you do? [aka hello, pretty girl.]

I'm a college student. [Community college totally counts.] I study healthcare administration.

Really? What are your thoughts on the Patient Protection And Affordable Care Act? Or "Obamacare." [And yes, those are finger quotes.]

While I don't really agree with calling it "Obamacare" I think it's generally a good program. The taxation for those who don't get insured kind of baffles me, because it seems like there could be a better solution for that, but otherwise it seems good. It's ridiculous how many people don't get treated because they don't have health insurance! It's unacceptable, really.
(fyi Neal is from early 2011, Romney hasn't announced his 2012 candidacy yet)
Exactly! The worst part is that the opponents in the Tea Party refer to the plan as Socialist, even though it's so far from it. In fact, it bares many similarities to similar acts proposed by Republicans, Mitt Romney's 2006 Massachusetts health care reform law notable among them.
I got *way* too excited when I saw this
another Newsroom fan? :D
Don't underestimate the value and impact of social media; it's the future of technology and communication as we know it.
Oh absolutely. Sorkin in general, but especially The Newsroom
