I don't see why you're so shocked at my Stoutland being as durable as he is. You've trained several yourself, after all; you should know just as well as I how well of a partner Stoutland makes for any kind of situation that might arise. Not to mention, as a Gym Leader, it's only natural to have tough Pokemon; it would be a let-down for any challengers if my Pokemon were easy to defeat. You can't hand out badges to just anyone, after all! Honestly, with how long you claim to have been a fan of this series, I would have thought you knew that much by now.

[ so what if she already has the basic badge......... ]

Also he is glad to see his other BFF again, really. Not that he's super great at showing that stuff, but it's still there.]
I guess it does. I can show you around Aspertia City afterward, as well. I don't think you've ever been there before. Have you?
no subject
I haven't... it's starting to look like I have a lot more travelling to do back in Unova. I'm expecting the grand tour from you!

[ she smiles. ] I'd like to! I just want to travel around for a little, you know? See what other regions have to offer.
[ and look for a certain person that took off on a dragon. ]
no subject
Yeah, that's it. The Champions from other regions participated, as well. Even if I wasn't battling them, sitting and watching them battle was just as good. [and he was internally fanboying over every single one of those champions, you know he was.]
Makes sense. I'd like to visit other regions when I get the chance, as well, to see how strong their Trainers happen to be. Not to mention I'm sure Professor Juniper wouldn't mind getting Pokedex data from Pokemon not found in Unova.

[gosh, cheren looks kind of grown up now! it seems like only yesterday he was a stringy little baby who could never dream of surpassing the hero's strength...]
no subject
To be fair, I think my first impression of you was off, as well. [because the whole castle deal helped him understand things]
no subject
Perhaps a new beginning is in order. I must admit, I am curious about the people who have known the Hero of Unova all their life.
no subject
Well, if there's an opportunity, I don't think either Bianca or myself would object to spending time with you. [now, anyway. Now that Team Plasma isn't really a bother, and they've learned their methods were flawed.]
no subject
speaking of creepy, cheren's words warm his twisted little black heart. he gives the other trainer a smile before nodding.]
And I, too, would enjoy getting to know the both of you as well.
[he grabs one of cheren's hands because DUH, HANDSHAKE OF FRIENDSHIP???? and gives it a light shake.]
Here's to a new beginning, then.
no subject
Likewise. I'm looking forward to seeing what you've learned during these past two years, actually.

Oh, I see! My mun left the game for now, she's still waiting for them to finish the English patch. Which I think it's kind funny because that's not her language either. [Worlds with multiple ways to speak? What's this madness, there's just one in Pokéworld!] But you know, you're totally right! [Bianca agreeing with a lecture, what.] Cheren-mun, you should know better! All of his Pokémon can hold their battle with no support, that's why he's so strong!
no subject
It would probably be better if she had waited for the patch, but as impatient as she is, she decided purchasing the game in Japanese would be better for her. She had her own justification, but personally, I think it boils down to her being impatient. [unless you're a Pokemon. ...but they can all understand themselves anyway.
and see, two years ago he would have agreed to that outright, but now he is mature!!!]
I wouldn't say that, Bianca. My Pokemon are certainly strong, but we all have a long way to go.
no subject
Aah, I know, right! My mun was very impatient too! She did the whole rom-watching thingy and then started playing the game like, 24hrs after release because she was really-really-really looking forward to see me and battle you. But then frustration got the best of her and now she's waiting and throwing not very nice words at the translation percentages.
[Fuck maturity, she will forever think her friends are the strongest!]
Of course we always have more to learn, but that doesn't mean you aren't strong! You did become Gym Leader after all!
no subject
Mine tried the ROM while waiting for her physical copy, as well, but she found it too slow for her tastes. How far is the translation at the moment, out of curiosity?
[Bianca is the biggest cheerleader, clearly.]
I did, yes. And it's an honor I was accepted, really.
no subject
My mun says you just have to configure the emulator correctly! And welp, here you have it! They did the Pokémon and battles stuff quickly because they copied the first game, but they got lazy with the story, which is what drives my mun crazy.
[Clearly, you just want her to dance with a short skirt and shake her pompoms. Ooooh Cheren oooh~]
You bet it is! But they're lucky too, for having you.
no subject
Naturally. She's simply too impatient to bother to try. It seems like they do still have quite a way to go, though. I can understand why your player's frustrated about that.
[he would be embarrassed and give her a big coat to wear and tell her that she should wear her usual clothes, because they suit her better]
...Hopefully that's their opinion, as well.
no subject
Yeah, though I admit it makes me very impatient too. I do want to know more details about, well, everything! Meanwhile my mun just says bad words and leaves to other sites to search for fan- [It's awkward time.] ...forfanstuffofus.
[Would that be a compliment? Let's take it like a compliment. Good to know he notices how she cute she usually dresses~]
Don't be so modest! [Hello pot.] You know it's true!
no subject
and yeah he's just going to stare because he didn't hear her correctly at all, and what he thought he heard makes little sense to him.]
She searches for what now?
[and he's just going to ignore that, yep]
no subject
And damn you, Cheren. Why do you make her explain? Why do you ignore the other subject in favor of the embarrassing one?]
You know... [Vague hand gesture.] ...stories a-and pictures... of us. [Emphasis is very important, pick up on it.]
no subject
And really, it's because he's not sure what she meant at first. Much to his dismay, since that just makes him wish he hadn't questioned it at all. He doesn't get the emphasis at first because why would people care that much, but after a moment, yeah, he gets it.]
...I don't suppose I should ask why she's so interested in that, should I? Or do I not want to hear that answer?
no subject
Oh thank Arceus he got it because there was no way she could've survived an actual explanation.
Not that his questions are much better.] I-I think it's like, you know, we enjoy a movie or a book... a-ah, Miss mun, I'm not going to-! [Brb hiding under her hat.] ...she says w-we're the- thecutestthingever.
