The main reason this Conan has never made friends with a Sherlock

I am not a canon purist, and I will thank you to stop making jokes about it. 

It is simple. None of these people who bear the name Sherlock can possibly compare to the brilliance of the original Holmes.  I don't see what is so hard to understand about that.

Exactly! He's grown suspicious a few times, but never to the degree I would expect from someone at Holmes' level. And he insulted Doyle.
