modernholmes: (so that's it)

The main reason this Conan has never made friends with a Sherlock

I am not a canon purist, and I will thank you to stop making jokes about it.

It is simple. None of these people who bear the name Sherlock can possibly compare to the brilliance of the original Holmes.  I don't see what is so hard to understand about that.

The Sherlock Holmes I'm now living with figured me out in less than twenty minutes.

Really? I would have thought for sure the one person we could never hope to fool would be Him.

... and yet, there you go, proving your mundane right.

I do believe that thinking no adaptation can hold a candle to the original is the textbook definition of a canon purist.

Oh, forgive me. I thought it was Gomera we were discussing. My mistake.

You're right, of course.

And also wrong.

[What now? :3]

It's all a matter of perception.

the player aplogizes for the character's tendency to ramble

I wouldn't. Perception is a powerful tool which represents how one visualizes the world. Often our perceptions represent underlying beliefs and function of the world around us. We may not entirely be able to choose how we perceive things. They simply are. As an example, suppose my visual acuity is such that all things are rendered orange. This is not by any fault of my own. You would appear orange to me. That is my truth.

Opinions are distinct from this in that they are active thoughts and cognition that are guided by our perceptions. If, for example, a shade of purple or green looks disgusting to me in my orange-tinted world, it may not have anything to do with the color itself but rather how I am able to visualizing it. It is a divergent opinion based on subjective perception. Would I be wrong to not liking those shades of purple or green?

I hope you realise that your mun isn't going to pay any attention to this, right?

I doubt many of them know what logic means.

Oh. Well, I wouldn't know about that, I've never actually met one.

....The mun seems to think it would be funny, though.
