Alright, mun. Let's lay down some ground rules if you're gonna hang with the coolest X-man there is.

First up, if you're sending me anywhere the powers stay. I'm Iceman, not 'the guy who can't shoot ice' man. No places where I'm going to be experimented on by some messed up shadowy faceless force. Sorry, not my kind of party. Find me some more icons, why don't you? These aren't bad but I know you can do better. And if you insist on sending me to some kind of sex island, that's actually fine with me.

They expected me to do the whole normal life thing after I came back. I did it for a year because I had nowhere else to go, but I couldn't say no to Hank and Logan when they showed up.

...Especially since the government was sending the MRD's to round up mutants that refused to register.

Oh man...mutant registration. I haven't heard any of that garbage in such a long time.

Yeah, it was Senator Kelly's idea and Warren's dad helped him out. It started to really become a bad problem after we disbanded and was the reason why Logan decided to get the group back together.

Things have settled down now though.

Yeah, gotta have people like us X-Men around to help kick blockheads like Kelly in the rear and point out that the registration stuff is pure garbage.

Xavier managed to show him and Magneto what a human/mutant war would lead to. Kelly took the hint, Magneto not so much.

Well, there's this girl back home and the two of us have been close friends for awhile and I, uh, kinda you know.

...So just how does a guy go about handling that?

Have you asked her out yet? Since that seems like a good place to start.

Yes and no? I mean, I asked her out to eat once but we were already eating at the time. And I'm not sure what to make out of her answer since I might not have been very clear about what I meant?

...But maybe she did know and that was her way of saying no? We still hang out and she doesn't seem awkward about it, though.

Okay, Ice-bro. Try again. Wait until you're not both eating and ask her out to get coffee or lunch or to a movie. And make it clear you mean a date and not just hanging out. Trust me, it should help.
