[ Okay, so about half of that goes over his head, but Souji sounds confident enough that Yosuke's both interested and terrified now. He does catch that Souji has completely tossed the idea of matching out the window. Crap.

The mention of Kanji cues up a look of sheer disbelief. ] No, no! You know, it's cool. Colored tights and all, I mean. Batman and Robin were cool enough in them and they didn't have help, right?

[ He's too busy having a costume meltdown to even notice Souji's struggle with hiding his grin. He'll just keep rambling instead. ] They took down a lot of bad guys in colored tights. If they can do it, we totally can too. How hard can it be? [ ... ] Not that it didn't take effort. I'm sure it did. No one just wakes up and decides, "Hey, I'm gonna be a badass with a metal boomerang and take out a guy in a penguin costume."

It starts as a soft murmur of laughter, but soon Souji has to cover his mouth in the attempt to swallow his amusement. Then, once he thinks he's regained his composure, he darts a glance in Yosuke's direction, catches sight of that caught-between-a-rock-and-a-hard-place expression, and he's lost. )

[ Gabumon smiles in contentment to himself. He wouldn't know from his canon point before 02 that he eventually would. But for now--he just dreams of that reunion day. ]

[Okay so maybe it'd depend on what she was wishing for or who was sick. Don't judge her. Because to pull that off she'd have to be a bad leader and ignore a social link or three while skimping on her Tartarus training regiment. Skimping on the training regiment is bad. Super bad. Maybe Souji's never had to deal with it, but if she skimps out Akihiko's totally going to find out and then she's going to have to do even more training than normal to make up for it.]
