Hey, boss. I have a question. Just one.

What are we doing?

First you make this journal, then you pick a crap chute of a point to pull me from. But you said we were moving forward, so good for us. Then you tell me you're not ready for a game, that I'm not ready for a game, and we're not even moving forward. No negotiations, nothing. D'you know how ready I am for a drink right now?

That was rhetorical. Still at one question.

Anyway, I thought this was going to be a short term thing? A fling. You know, get all that energy out and let me catch a break for once. Now we've got new accessories and you're spending real time on this, which is distinctly not the same as a fling.

So, back to my question. What are we doing?

I dunno....you just seem familiar.

Have we met? Are you from Storybrooke?

I'm from New York. Don't think we've ever met, but it's hard for me to say. You probably saw me on TV. Or- [Hell. Okay, innocent youth, remember that.] -around. I get around.

You probably know the Iron Man.

[What with the public eye always on him and all.]

[Henry's eyes get really big. Iron Man? This guy is Iron man?]

Really?! You're Iron Man?! But I thought he was a comic book character! Well I guess if fairy tale characters exist in another world, you could too.

[Now he's staring up at you in admiration and stuff.]

[Aw, now that. That is a look he would like to get more often. Maybe frame it or something.]

Just a comic book, huh? I'm pretty sure comic book characters don't talk back.

[Which naturally means he has to activate the suit. Yes, it's showboating, but really, why not? It won't hurt anyone.]

[Sorry Tony, in his world, Tony's a comic book character.]

Yeah, but in my world you're from a comic book!

[But still he's amazed and seeing the suit activation makes him gape in awe.]

W-wooooow...

[He'd like to ask for his autograph now.]

[That could get existential, but really? He's fine. This is the least of his problems.]

Well, I hope I'm at least cool in your comic book. Awesome would be even better, but I'll settle for cool.

[See, this is actually fun.]

Yeah, muns don't seem to know the whole thing behind short term. Sorry Tony.

[Hey he might not be her Tony Stark, but there's no way not to pick one out in a crowd.]

Hey, Pep. [It's good. He's actually kind of relieved to see any Pepper.]

It's fine. I guess I just had more faith in her... We were supposed to have an agreement.

[She gets that a lot.]

Sometimes things get in the way with them. I know that's the case with mine, who has yet to finish her research for my canon point. [Pepper would swear that her mun is stalling for the sake of stalling, not like she doesn't have the stack of comics already.]

[Bet she does. Good girl. Take charge.]

The only thing getting in the way with this one is attitude. And before you say anything? I know. Pot, kettle, the whole color analogy which is wrong, by the way, and totally outdated. But, anyway, the point is, I should know, right? So. Attitude.

You're right. I love the attention. [No, not really.] I wish I could get more of the attention that actually meant they were planning something good.

Well I know mun has me at a muse box, it's at least a place to get out now and then if she remembers I'm there [Yes might be shooting her mun a look] But plotting is a little slow over there.

[She gives a small grin]

Trying to at least. I think she might be tempted to throw me into a game with all the kid groups. Only because the Tony there is in way over his head. Won't lie not looking forward to it. The kids are okay, just it would mean updating the canon point she has for me. [And Pepper knows about what happens and would rather not have some of it her canon thanks]

[Not even batting an eye. Flattery will get only smug comments, Potts.]

That's a start. She's got a goal, and that's more than I can say for this crazy driver. I can't really argue against updating, either. The best direction to head is always forward, no matter what happens.

Frightened by the prospect of having a long term relationship for once?

Well, now this just makes everything better.

I already have a long term relationship--it's the one thing I can't seem to quit, thanks to some people not taking the hint about good guys always winning.

And I ask, what makes you certain you are on the side of good? After all, it is a relative term, much like "winning".

You've got something better than people living and general public safety? Because if you do I'm all ears.

I would prefer a world free of famine, crime, disease, wars and pollution.

And freedom. Humanity.

People are pretty much unanimously against life as slaves. It just goes against our nature.

Freedom and humanity, is that the argument you use to defend the state of our world? Wars are fought because it is human nature. Men commit murder and governments starve their own people because they have the freedom to do so. Mankind is slowly killing this planet, but you allow them to do because it is their right?

No. I'm not defending it. [Wait.] Verbally. I'm protecting it. I'm protecting the people that need to be protected, but I'm not condoning anything.

And you. You're the last person I'd rely on for judgment of what humanity should be doing, Victor. Whatever people can do to each other, you are still worse.

The citizens of Latveria are happy and fed, and they need not worry about crime or illness. Their country has been brought out of the feudal ages to the very forefront of technological development.

Yes, I am truly a monster for wanting to do for the world what I have done for my country.

Yeah. Your people. You take care of them as long as they side with you, but you'll destroy anyone else as long as it suits you. Is that the kind of life you're offering the rest of the world? Because to me it sounds like an ultimatum for a pretty raw deal, and no one's buying.

If it were that easy... But it's never that easy. The world already has an answer to turn to.
