Counted Stars isn't bad. I mean... there was a draft, and everyone of age had to go or dodge it by leaving Republic space. [Luke hated that. It meant being left alone and worrying a lot.] But there's more freedom than in a lot of other games - we don't have to stick to one place, or anything.
