Hey, it's been a while. I think you need to do a little housekeeping. Reminiscing is nice and all, but somehow I don't think we have the same idea of fun. I'm fine where I am right now. Really.

...And you only watched those Dissidia cut-scenes once, mun. That was months ago. You know how important memories are. I don't want to lose mine.

[Didn't he just say that the planet had been destroyed? But even if not, Aerith is... Aerith is gone.]

[At least not in a way he could easily explain. It just... happened, there.]

Apparently people show up from different times, sometimes after-

[He doesn't want to say it, offering a vague hand gesture instead. Tifa understood anyway.]

I don't really understand it but... it's nice seeing her again.

I'm glad she's there, Cloud. I know you'll look out for each other. Aerith always wanted to fly in the Highwind. I bet she'd love the chance to explore space.

She already found the chocobos, rode one around the ship.

[He'd promised her, long ago, that he'd take her out on an airship. Maybe it wasn't exactly the same, but it was nice too, to have a chance to show her around, to have family there with him as he tried to figure out how to set things right again.

And- to let her get to know the real him. Aerith had known things weren't quite right when she had traveled with the group, but it wasn't until after... that Cloud had understood what she'd meant by wanting to meet him.

It's not so bad I guess, there's some good people on board too. [He's collecting an overpowered protag party.] We'll find our way home again.

[Tifa smiles at that. Of course she has. So there are chocobos in outer space too, huh? Kind of sounds like home.

And she knows how significant it is for Cloud and Aerith to have a second chance. What Tifa wouldn't give herself to have a second chance... To see and talk to Aerith again, to be best friends like they used to before she was taken away from them.]

Sounds like you have everything figured out. [Collecting a ragtag band of misfits? Excellent, it's what Cloud does best.] New friends too?

[He's a little embarrassed at the friend mention, one hand moving up to rub at the back of his neck. His friends before, from back home, had sort of just... stuck themselves with him, the group becoming larger as they traveled around.

Guess it was kind of like that on the ship too, already he'd fought with some of them, knew who he could count on to have his back. Friends. Maybe.]

Something like that. Not easy being alone out there. Not very smart either.

It's not your fault. We're all at the mercy of forces we can't control here. [Meaning YOU, Cloud's mun. Also me.] My mun's already thinking that I might pay you a visit.

I know. [And it's okay here in random no fourth wall land, but back on the ship- he regrets leaving the family without being able to say anything, hates that he's disappointed the kids. Again.

He's picking up souvenirs though, both on the ship and from the planets they visit. Small things, but they always had questions about the places he went on delivery and knew they'd be even more disappointed if he didn't bring them space toys too. He's such a sucker.]

...You wanna ride the chocobos too?

Well, the ship is like a big city, pretty much anything you can think of is there. I haven't done much but work though.

The captains... they're mice. Haven't met them yet, maybe that's just a rumor.

Jobs change each month though, call 'em missions. Guess I'm back to doing a little bit of everything.
