Looking at games... open for suggestions.

Look, you've been having this dilemma for the past week and I know you're driving your primary musebox partner insane. I told you her characters didn't have enough backbone to hold a candle to me. If there is one thing I can't stand from you, it's indecision. You said that Alpan Station was the game and now you've changed your mind.

You're starting to irritate me. You know how unpleasant I can be when I'm irritated.

Make up your damn mind before I make it up for you.

No room for a diplomatic solution, is there?

"Paragons"? Is there something I'm missing here?

Being a short-lived race hasn't precisely done us much harm.

...A hundred years? Your medical knowledge of humanity's a bit out of date. The average lifespan for humanity has been nearly two centuries for the last few centuries.
dominion_war_graduate: (04. ah ha ha ... whoops)

[personal profile] dominion_war_graduate 2012-06-24 07:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds problematic. Still, most sapient races don't live much longer than two or three centuries at most, so I'm wondering why the complaint with humans specifically.
dominion_war_graduate: (14. sigh)

[personal profile] dominion_war_graduate 2012-06-24 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)
...Cerberus? If that's the one, I'm slightly familiar with them, thanks to a human officer from your galaxy named Shepard.

The bastards already tried to open fire on my ship once before. Something that Shepard told me likely stemmed from a desire to dismantle the ship and crew that just survived a trip through time and space in the middle of an unstable event horizon.

The only reason Starfleet vessels are so advanced is because of the perspectives brought to design and research by numerous human and non-human engineers alike.

My own vessel's population is only fifty-three percent human.
dominion_war_graduate: (02. why hello there)

[personal profile] dominion_war_graduate 2012-06-24 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, thanks. Starfleet's done me nothing but good. And I agree, sometimes some races just are naturally more developed in aspects.

That's why the Equinox and its ship class are the most advanced ships in Starfleet now, and as the last in the series, the Equinox herself is one of the most advanced in the line.

You know, if you need a place to at least set root down, Shepard and I are interacting through a musebox that makes such dimensional shenaniganry possible, and it seems that what was upcoming for my ship and crew is a need to stay out of Citadel and Alliance space for the moment.

At a place like Omega. Could be interesting.
dominion_war_graduate: (03. the slyest of smirks)

totallyawesomemusebox.dreamwidth.org ... that should have worked before

[personal profile] dominion_war_graduate 2012-06-24 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
You're the one who's said Omega's had to be built, rebuilt, expanded and renovated dozens of times. Are you really sure you wouldn't see the value in assisting a crew and ship carrying nearly a hundred engineers of numerous species, all of whom have access to Starfleet's entire engineering library to help renovate and improve Omega's technical systems?

My crew aren't stupid or inexperienced, and if they do get hurt then it reflects on those who hurt them and myself, not on you. After all, I wouldn't be expecting the quietest or most peaceful of places if it's a place that remains outside the general authorities.

Aww, that sucks! Hopefully the link works?

[personal profile] dominion_war_graduate 2012-06-24 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[[If not, this SHOULD work.]]

Warning accepted. All I'd expect is to be able to shelter my ship at Omega until such a time as the Citadel is more open to diplomacy than straight up dismantling and research like Cerberus ... and the usual protection engineering teams get when working on Omega systems. Other than that, my crew can and will police themselves.
dominion_war_graduate: (02. why hello there)

:D I will tell Shepard's mun!

[personal profile] dominion_war_graduate 2012-06-24 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I know, but I think I might have avenues I can take.

Other than that, we're pretty much set with Omega. If I have to, I'll just deal with you, cut them out, and offer what I can in order to get the resources my ship needs to get back home.
dominion_war_graduate: (04. ah ha ha ... whoops)

I'm surprised it wasn't done sooner, really!

[personal profile] dominion_war_graduate 2012-06-24 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I do have Shepard's help, and she seems to be inordinately good at getting her way in a lot of things.

Sounds good to me.
dominion_war_graduate: (03. the slyest of smirks)

Maybe! Either way, it's fun.

[personal profile] dominion_war_graduate 2012-06-24 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
You know, Captain Montgomery Scott said something like that at my graduation from the Academy: Something about the great thing about being useful is getting to be as irritating as you want as long you're ultimately more useful than annoying.
dominion_war_graduate: (04. ah ha ha ... whoops)

Hell yeah trekkies!

[personal profile] dominion_war_graduate 2012-06-24 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
It's certainly my goal.

Well, maybe that and a cushy retirement on Risa.
dominion_war_graduate: (03. the slyest of smirks)

Yes they can be.

[personal profile] dominion_war_graduate 2012-06-25 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
You have a really good point. Besides, the Equinox is my first official captaincy. It's a little early to be thinking retirement at all.

You of all people should know that rushing situations doesn't do any good for anyone involved.

Give her some time. I'm sure she'll put your somewhere convenient to both of your needs.

[personal profile] hisacrifice 2012-06-24 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought you liked it when I butt into your situations.

You could try eenie-meanie. That always works in a tough situation.
hisacrifice: ([.] I like how you move)

[personal profile] hisacrifice 2012-06-24 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
If I could help you, you wouldn't be losing anything.

You want a place where you can keep your business going and have reliable people working for you, right?
hisacrifice: ([.] Times are tough)

[personal profile] hisacrifice 2012-06-24 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Those are fair and just demands. It sounds like you need a place that has few boundaries. You don't want to feel suffocated and bound by too many rules.

A "dressing room", or something equally as open sounds like a better opportunity. If you want sustainable interaction, I'd avoid meme-related communities. They're good... for occasional threading. But it all depends what you and your mun are hoping to get out of the experience.
hisacrifice: All icons made by me, do not take (Default)

[personal profile] hisacrifice 2012-06-24 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Well there's that. If everyone had their way, we might end up with another Saren situation on our hands. Rules in moderation works - as long as the power distribution is balanced.

They work really well for certain people and circumstances. Good friends, comrades, even enemies could find some use delving into meme communities every once in a while. Solid interactions are harder to come by, but worth it if you find a great selection of people to work with you if you go that extra mile.

If I find anything on my travels, I'll pass them your way so you can show your mun.
hisacrifice: ([.] Hopeless smile)

[personal profile] hisacrifice 2012-06-24 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
There aren't many Turians that I get along with, but I'm sure they'd appreciate someone of your caliber around.

Anytime, Aria. Don't do anything I wouldn't do.
hisacrifice: ([.] You're kidding)

[personal profile] hisacrifice 2012-06-24 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
As much as I'd like for the galaxy to cherish all that I do for them, most of them won't give me the time of day. Including Turians. I'm confident even in death, they'll still find a way to be pissed off with humanity's flaws - and pin the blame on me.

You taking compliments means I get to live another day.
