[Yoda offers a nod of his head. He's leaning on his stick.]

Master Kenobi. Time... soon it will be. Skywalker's children, age, they do.

I know. More and more quickly with every passing day. [He sighs, his worry clear, but it is quickly extinguished.]

[masteryoda]

[Yoda is pleased.] Better control of emotions, you have. Practicing, good it does you.

[He hums thoughtfully.] Soon Emperor's reign - an end it will have.

[His reply is soft.] Can we be certain that they will both be ready to face what is to come? Force willing, I know that they are strong-- they are Anakin's children-- but we both know there could be... complications.

[Yoda sounds calm, but Obi-Wan would know him well enough to feel the underlying tension there. He still carries the sadness of what happened at the temple.]

[As does he. Along with the shame and failure of not being able to help Anakin when he should have known his former apprentice had desperately needed it.]

I know, that had things had been different, this would not be the path Anakin would choose for his children. He would not want them to be Jedi, even with their great potential... [He trails off with a sigh.]

I'm okay. Learning a lot... I kind of miss you, though. [Awkward shrug; he's getting to be of an age where that's starting to get embarrassing.]

At the game where you are currently stationed? [There's a pause.] What have you discovered?

Yeah, Counted Stars. Sometimes I wish you were there, but... [Shrug. Younger!Obi-Wan's there already.]

...Things. I don't - there's a lot of Jedi there, 'cause the Empire doesn't exist yet.

It sounds like you've landed in quite the era, Luke. [A frown crosses his sun-worn features.]

Yeah... It's been exciting.

Ben - they say [And glancing around, making sure no one suspicious is close enough to overhear] They say you're actually a Jedi.

[His expression is perfectly calm, serene, not revealing a thing.] Who told you this?

[The Imperial Inquisitorius is always interested in Jedi rumors... Luke may be worryingly fearless, but he's still cagy about some things.]

Anakin - Anakin Solo. I guess he's... my nephew from the future? Something like that.

Anakin Solo...? [He murmurs the name, it troubling him even more.] Are there any others from your future, Luke?

Yeah. There's another future-nephew, and... my sister, but she's ten years older than me, so I always feel kind of out of- And Han Solo and Chewbacca. Also a lot of people know who I am, which is weird.

...and, um, there's people from the past.

And who might those people be? [He asks very calmly, folding his hands together in his sleeves. The fact that he knows of Leia sends a jolt through him, but naturally, it doesn't show.]

I don't know what to do. I mean, I've talked to a bunch of people, but I still...

[He feels his stomach drop.] But you have spoken to them?

[sandwormie]

...Yeah.

Not face to face. Well, the Senator face to face. She's - nice. [And Luke has no idea what to do with her, plus there's the fact that she flirted teasingly with him before someone jumped in.]

[Hey older self! Albeit, he doesn't know that (yet?), but there is something familiar about you. He wonders.]

A shame my mun isn't that cautious. She finds something that intrigues her and off she goes. [Disapproving frown.] Usually drags me with her.

With the way Master Qui-Gon gets us into trouble, I would venture to agree, yes. [It's said fondly and humorously, though.] Not that I don't still have a knack for finding trouble myself... [It's just that it's easier to be exasperated when Qui-Gon goes out of his way for pathetic life-forms.]

I have no doubt... Qui-Gon always had a way of rubbing off on people. [A similar tone creeps into his voice as he recalls his old Master.]

[This is not a well-crafted report, more a babble.] They... the Rebels sent me to Jazbina to talk to the king, and he said that if I saved his daughter from bandits he'd support us some, so I went into the crystal mines and my goggles broke, because I had to fight a tikulini, and... I found the bandits, and the princess.

[It was in a sun crystal mine, so when he ignited his lightsaber...]

But they weren't bandits. Ben... I should've been more careful. I should've listened! It was a trap. They were the Rebel cell... I guess this [The blindfold, the hopefully-temporary blindness] was a good thing. At least I didn't kill any of them - the Force helped me fight. So when they broke out of the cell they took me with them.

But now Vader's on the planet and he's killed the king, and no one in the cell trusts me, and... I have to set it right somehow. I just...
