You are adorable.
Really. In that fascinating way small children are adorable so long as they are quiet and belong to someone else.
I have no interest in inhabiting your head or dancing to your whims. Kindly take your misguided notion of a 'good idea' and apply it to someone else.
Do not make me repeat myself, it is tedious in the extreme. I have a government to keep track of and a brother to run; or the other way around, it changes each day to the next.

[It might sound flip, it could easily be the truth and he does look genuinely put out. Just because he doesn't run off and stab dead pigs, does not mean he doesn't feel the prick of ennui just as fiercely.]

[He pauses and clears his throat.]
It certainly was not for lack of trying, believe me.

Justice is served and I am kept entertained.
[If John were here he would be giving him such a disapproving look right now.]
A win win situation in a sense. Not entirely for the deceased, but I can only do so much. Playing the hand of God is not one of them.
[Don't even get him started on God and all that.]

[Yes, he just admitted to agreeing with you, though you have to wonder about the nature of the subject he's agreeing with you upon.]
As for the latter, I have always been lead to believe it is just a matter of time before your ego grows to deity proportions.

[Meaning their similar way of seeing the world, regardless of how they liked to seem at odds with one another.]
Oh? And who says it hasn't?

He didn't say any of this, didn't say anything at all, which was in its own way, a declaration all its own.]
Well I have yet to hear word that the Church of England is now to be called the Church of Sherlock, though I imagine it is not for want of trying on your part.
