[Teekl doesn't seem very amused, even while being scooped up into Klarion's arms.]

Shut up! [He's quick to snap at the girl, holding his familiar close. Teekl's tail flicks around curiously.]

Teekl's so much better than nothing. [His eyes narrow at the jab at his voice, but Teekl distracts him by seeking her perch around his shoulders. He obliges his familiar without so much as a "stupid cat" comment.]
