Well, okay. I'd say it could definitely get worse, but you have this weird tendency to take that as a challenge? I will say this: At least it's not quite as easy to get me and/or my friends gruesomely killed. ...Also a challenge, pretend I never said it. [An amused grin.] There's nothing like impending injury and death to teach me how to watch what I say.
But hey, remember that thing I said about 'no dial-up'? I was thinking more along the lines of 'DSL or better', not 'walkie-talkies and cave-paintings'. [Okay, yeah, she's exaggerating a little, but that's not the point.]

[More genuine:] Sorry, that... wasn't exactly the most sensitive thing I could've said.
Any chance we could start over? I'm Chloe.

[Back to the earlier topic, though:] You say communication isn't that bad, but I'm used to twenty-six computers over sixty monitors and a smart-phone for every occasion.
...None of which probably means anything to you, so trust me, I'm talking about communication Verdana's never even seen.

A lot of Earth technology is archaic compared to Kryptonian technology.
Verdana's... gets the job done.

[After a second though, she's conceding:] Like I said, though, it could definitely be worse.
I'm sure you remember.
