[Distress is an understatement, if she's honest. It tears at her to watch her family -- you included, Trevor -- become something so incredibly foreign. She takes solace in the idea that it's not meant to be an erasure of everyone, but with the way Konami is handling it, it's incredibly hard not to feel like that's the case.

Still, he's right, so she bites her tongue before she can say any more.]

Impulse and rash decisions are what lead you to become a savior to many. I can think of no human that would fault such a trait if that is its consequence.

As much as I enjoy teasing your father about their take on his origins, I do find myself genuinely worried for the future. If things continue this way, I fear I may never see you reappear. At least, not as my son, since I doubt I'll be kept as I am.

Perhaps that's the most frightening thought of all...

Things are bound change, I am afraid... It is no loss to me if I am to remain out of the spotlight. Let me remain in the shadows where I belong.

Besides, seeing you in new installments of our timeline never fails to give me strength. It serves to remind me why my voice has not yet faded.

[Of course, she's obviously quelled by that last thought. The tension that had built in her shoulders dissipates and she gives a soft smile.]

I'm not exactly sure what to make of the reasoning behind it. I appreciate wanting to start over -- admittedly, our timeline has its faults where continuity is concerned -- but that's hardly a reason to pretend that 25 years of canon is nonexistent.

Mm. That doesn't sound good... perhaps they will have a reason for that, though? This reminds me of something similar that occurred in my own canon, a little mishap known as the "Gonzo series". It involved a male vampire that had no male parts walking around naked and making blind threats, and myself getting molested on more than one occasion.

I feel your pain.

Judging from the reaction that comment received, I would wager that my lady and a few other residents of this "headspace" are familiar with the series of which you speak.
