maisondeportes, but speaking generally
Mundane. A word, if I may? I notice that you seem to have AUs on your mind a fair bit lately. Please don't think I'm here simply to complain; on the contrary, I'm honored to see you find me interesting enough to want to explore how different I might be in lives that could have been.
However, I also realize how your mind wanders these days. I appreciate your potential interest in such a project--so please, for your sake and mine, don't do this halfheartedly. I would far rather one life lived and explored in full than a dozen only briefly touched; to offer only a glimpse seems cruel.
In short: if you act, do so purposefully and mindfully. I don't intend to stand in your way--but Number VIII asked me to pass on his request to still be able to "blow shit up" in some capacity, to use his own wording, whatever else you intend to do with him. I'm not sure if honoring his request is wise by any definition..... But in the interest of solidarity, I ask that you take both of our wishes to heart as you move forward.

Perhaps we should compare notes, then, and see where any further changes may lie?
Hope you don't mind the threadjack, I was kind of invited...
[And that's a cheeky little bit of a grin from this here Axel.]
I'd love to hear what stories you two come up with.
I love threadjacking~ /o/ <3
I'm open to requests, if there's anything in particular you were hoping to hear about. And I'd be glad to hear any tales you might have, as well.

[Still, he's fairly certain this is the Axel that is not quite so inclined to causing explosions. Besides, if the two of them can't handle one Axel, something is dreadfully wrong.]
I certainly have no requests, although I agree that comparing notes might be of benefit in this case.

[Have a head tilted in Axel's general direction; it's a bit disconcerting to see him with blue hair, of all things. Does Saix look similarly different? He patiently starts ticking members off, tapping his palm with each. He won't bother to go down the entire list--at least, not yet. Their original fellowship of six seems the most important, after all. Since Axel is here, he'll include Saix as well, for courtesy's sake--but for the moment, their first eight members seems like a fine place to pause.]
Xemnas, The Superior of the In-Between--nothingness, that is. Rather distant and cryptic these days, and prone to high-minded ideals.
Xigbar, The Freeshoter. His talents lie in spatial-gravitational manipulation. Secretive and curious as always, and still prone to his own special brand of humor. Still unpredictable, as well; it's hard to tell for any given mission if he'll make light of it or focus his full intensity on the job.
Xaldin, The Whirlwind Lancer. He's even more distant and quiet than ever, and still stern; even so, he's become quite adept at eloquence and persuasion.
We've already considered Vexen--and you as well, Axel. Concerning the two of us, however..... My title is The Silent Hero, and my affinity is of the earth.
Zexion, The Cloaked Schemer. Quite intelligent and wary, very perceptive, very skilled at bringing people into line with his desires. He wields illusions.
And Saix as well, The Luna Diviner. Our taskmaster, and a generally cold and serious sort, very focused and intense. Occasionally, he flies into unpredictable and overwhelming fits of berserker rage. I presume the two of you have the other Neophytes, as well?
Repost for fiddling with titles.
Alright. [He gestures as he lists off each of his own Organization-]
Xemnas - yeah, that's still the Superior. Personality sounds about right. But nothingness? [Shrug.] Nah. Ours really wants you to get him memorized.
Xigbar - mmm, most of that sounds right, too. Freeshooter. Dude's a time warper. Could shoot you into next Tuesday. [He pauses.] Or from next Tuesday.
Xaldin, right, we've got a different name! [He gives a brief snap.] Stormtide Lancer. I wouldn't want to mess with those water lances he uses. [And he chuckles slightly, stretching out his arms - ] Wouldn't want to mess with him full stop.
Vexen, yeah, we covered. I'll let 'my' you speak for himself, too. If he wants... [grinning at his Lexaeus as he says that.]
Zexion - bit different. Schemer of the Eclipse. He's got this whole creatures-of-the-night, power borrowing thing going on. Usually this quiet, careful guy, like you said, but now and then - he kind of ...snaps.
Aaaand Saix. [He goes a little quieter. A little cooler.] Umbral Diviner. He does illusions instead. Don't think I've seen him ever pull anything like your berserker thing? But I have seen him surround folks with any number of versions of himself, illusion weapons anywhere he can fit them in... and man, that's not something you want to be in the middle of.
[He turns around to his own Lex for a moment-] Want to fill in the gaps?

Xemnas' title, as the two of us know it, is The Superior of the Id. Axel's covered enough of the rest there to suggest the basics.
Vexen is The Heated Academic, and the rest you already know. As for myself, it seems we share a title, although my affinity is to lightning instead.

[It's hard to say whether he looks more amused or just flat out bewildered by the changes he's hearing; even so, he's managing to take them all in remarkable stride, and even beginning to piece together the odd switches. If things seem to follow the pattern he's observed so far, then..... well. Himself and Larxene? Really? He should probably know better than to ask after her, but morbid curiosity seems like it'll inevitably win out.]
How fascinating..... I would never have expected that sort of transposition of elements, though the rest of them seem to at least have some basis, odd as they are..... Elements appear to be more blatantly opposed than personality, so far..... It seems as though we may have the same Neophytes as well then, if similarly altered. Might I ask after what you know of Larxene?
no subject
Well, yeah. But you expect me to miss my line? Come on. [...Although it probably helps that said Xemnas isn't around to catch Axel's phrase.]
And Larxene - whoa. [He laughs, throws his hands out-] How about, in short, 'do not mess with unless you want a rock dropped on your head'?

[Have an indulgent smile, both at the protest and description; for all the oddities of the worlds' differences, it really does seem like the more things change, the more they stay the same.]
That sounds like a fair description..... I'd meant more to ask after her disposition, given that it seems the two of us have exchanged elements--it seems from what I've heard as though they may well all be direct swaps, save for the Superior. None of us that I know of have any sort of element involving memories. But our Larxene is known as The Savage Nymph, and fights with electrified throwing knives. She shares the same fondness for Marluxia as well, unfortunately.
/threadjacks. Because it's how Vexen rolls.
[Hi. Don't mind him butting in here.]
X3 And we now have three different continuities in here, ace~
[Have a sober frown; he's a little hesitant to speak of it, with Axel present, but.....]
What use would Marluxia have for a Naminé with power over the void?
no subject
Nah, that's the other kids. He was mostly trying to get a grip on what he could do with her Light. Very interested in it, really. Xemnas, too.

As for the 'exchanges,' I'm afraid I can't speak to the cause. It's simply always been this way. It must be one of the more minor fluctuations in cases like these.
no subject
[He thinks this is probably the most flat out bewildering change yet, to be honest. Even without the idea of their own ranks so altered, but the very fundamental aspects of the Keyblades themselves? It was nearly unthinkable. Not to mention that this broke the pattern that had until now been evident.....]
So those four are engaged in a three-way switch, then. I suppose it is a minor fluctuation in the grand scheme of things, fundamental though it seems..... Your wording is interesting there, though. As far as I knew, Axel, at least our world's version of you was assigned to mentor Roxas until he learned enough to be a fully active member of the Organization. Has that responsibility fallen to someone different within your ranks?

[He chuckles slightly. No great friendship apparent in his tone, here, oddly enough...]
