Mun (finally) saw The Avengers
"The bright lure of freedom," huh?
His thinking is a bit simple - though that's to be expected - but there's some truth to what he said. For instance, mun, you have all the freedom in the world, and yet you squander it.
They squander it...

...You're a Reed who doesn't eat anything but tofu, aren't you. But there it is again; if we can't choose the weird option, the goofy option, even the wrong option, then it's not our choice. We're not the Phalanx, we're not Ultron, we're not 'mechanical perfection' to always choose the right option.
And because we're not, we've sent all of the above packing. There's advantages in the human way; you ought to know that much already.

Also, I don't eat. Don't need to.
Not enough advantages, Johnny, and the drawbacks all point back to one word: extinction. When the dust settles and civilization is done killing itself, my Children may be all that's left of humanity.

Okay, not eating officially makes you the saddest Reed I've ever met. It's FOOD, man! It's an entire sense you're cutting yourself off from! That's like if Daredevil was just squinching his eyes closed the whole time!
...Extinction. Seriously.
Reed, if you want to stop extinction, just go ahead and set up some interplanetary colonies or something! Not that I believe you on this one; civilization's looking pretty messed up right now, but even if we run out of civilization we'll still have people.

Oh yes, that's a brilliant plan. They'll just abuse whatever technology I give them, they've proven that much.
Besides, I doubt they'd accept my help at this point.
And when I say extinction, I mean extinction. It's not civilization they should be worried about, it's the species.

...Reed, abusing technology is in a lot of ways the point of HAVING technology. That's how we got this far, it's practically a survival trait.
Okay, then what's the threat this time? Because it keeps sounding more and more like it's you.
