I rattle the cage every now and then, but the guy complains about having to have a life and lack of time. Maybe though I can get through to him this time, thick as he is. At this point I wouldn't even mind going to this "City" he's so fond of. I'd be stuck on one planet, but it's got to be better than this place.

She has no idea really. She barely knows anything about me, I keep waiting for her to scream when she finds out some of the things we've been through.

As for this city well, it's "The City" actually. Real inventive name I know. He tells me the situation is some crazed AI likes to pull people from all sorts of universes and brings them there to play hero, or villain sometimes. Plenty of nicer places he could send me. Then again plenty of worse ones too.

[She shouldn’t have been surprised by that kiss, but she was for a moment. It passed quickly enough though and she returned it with a soft press of lips and her hands encircling his neck. As far as surprises go, that was not a bad one.]
