My parents were over protective, they didn't even want me learning the flute, thought I should just look pretty and be arm candy my whole life. [And yeah there's an eye roll] And with the problem I have, running away and joining a circus wasn't really an option.

[She smirked] did think about it when I was a kid. Instead ended up joining a band that our shows end up more like a circus when we're in town. Have to love steampunk conventions.

[She nods] Gerry tells me mine are purple tinted. Like it would matter, but he loves making the costumes for the band. Usually he puts me in dresses that are short enough that I don't trip on them, but they all crinkle and make a lot of noise, he hasn't figured out how to fix that yet.
