It's sort of a long, weird story that involves a magical castle and sudden influx of Renaissance people a few months ago, but we're friends. She's talked about you and your family now and then. Didn't think I'd actually ever get to talk to you, but here we have it.

I know it sounds crazy, which is why I didn't mention being a good five hundred years after your time.

[He just feels free to assume that this Stephanie girl is not well. Perhaps she's escaped her caretaker. But she's friendly enough.]

[You Renaissance people are the weird ones! Just believe her babbling, Cesare.]

She seems to have a lot of friends, and handle the castle's quirks well. "Modern" stuff doesn't seem to give her much trouble, either. She's a trooper.

Lucrezia has always been stronger than many give her credit for. But I feel guilt for not being in this... magical castle... to protect her, if she is indeed there.

She's very much protected. [By at least one Assassin thatwantstokillRodrigo and one Batgirl, to name a few.]

Still, I can't imagine how happy she'd be to have one of her brothers around. Nothing beats family. [For most people, anyway.]

No one's offended. I was just trying to keep it unoffensive for a [what was he again? Oh, right] cardinal. Lesson learned: virgin jokes are a-okay.

If the occasional bawdy joke were entirely off-limits, I daresay that most of the clergy would have a race to see who could jump off the roof the fastest. Besides, a cardinal has to appreciate the humor in a virgin joke when he is the son of the pope.

I know, right? Guess we wouldn't have to worry about you too much if you happened to find yourself in a magical castle full of lots of interesting people.

And I mean crazy in the good way. Not the bad way. Never a dull moment.

It might be an interesting change of pace... "depending on the next few weeks", says the very controlling woman who brought me here.

Sounds good. I'd love to get to know one of Lucrezia's brothers, and like I said--she's made a lot of friends, so you'd be welcomed.

My own control-y woman says she'd be happy to answer any questions yours might have about Paradisa, whenever the time comes.

And that doesn't help my not being crazy claim, but oh well. I'm just the messenger.
