re: transitioning to dreamwidth and hopefully coming back from hiatus
'Sbout time, don't you think? Yeah, yeah, all that stuff going on and being sick's kept you from dragging me outta this dusty space inside your head, but now that things are getting better, I think you owe it to me to get me back. Y'know what I mean. Al's probably worried sick. Plus, I hear the old man showed up at the school. ...Means I gotta tell Al.
And then there's everyone at Ukiyo...
Y'know what I mean.
And then there's everyone at Ukiyo...
Y'know what I mean.

Give me a second btw.
Then this face.
Then a bit of this face.
Followed by this face.
And this then then this face.
Stupid brother do you see where this is going?
But you know he ought to be furious for making him worry THIS long.
Seriously. Mad. Baby brother fists of fury here.
But really he's just so relieved your ok.
Like super relieved.
Now excuse him while he attaches himself and never lets go.
ffffffffffffffffff
But, just like that and all in a matter of seconds, Al's expression shifts again into relief and it's a bit fascinating to see it all happen at once on a face that he's only recently grown used to seeing every day. There's something almost... magical about the way Al can show so many emotions when for so long, the only way he could express himself was through a modulation in voice as it echoed inside steel.
Before he can dwell on it too much, however, arms are wrapped around him and he can feel Al's warmth radiating off him. Somewhat exasperated, he heaves a sigh, lifting his own arms to wrap around his brother in return.
Al's such an idiot, he thinks. For worrying like he did. But more than that, he's an idiot for being that cause for concern in the first place. ]
Hey.
[ And in that single word is all the emotions Ed can't quite bring himself to say. Apologies for worrying his little brother, gratitude for the hug, and acknowledgement for the feelings Al much be having. ]
Re: ffffffffffffffffff
Silent he may be, his hands give away a lot more than the rest of his body language does. His knuckles are white and the muscles shake from the strain of keeping them wound tightly into the fabric of Edward's clothes.
No matter from which angle or world you look at this reunion from, it's the same either way. The anger, the worry, the relief, the pain, and the happiness is experienced all the same.
When Al does respond, his voice is hoarse and cracks once from the tears.]
Don't you ever do that again.
no subject
He sighs quietly, giving Al's shoulder a light squeeze before moving his hands to Al's and gently coaxing them loose so that his brother's knuckles return to their normal color. ]
I won't.
[ It's the closest thing he can make to a promise. Because he can't promise never to leave Al again, not when so much is uncertain and he's already had to leave Al more than once. But if he can, he'll fight to keep Al by his side, as long as it means Al will also be safe. ]
