... I can live with not goin' at all, as I'm sure you know. My Spock is irritatin' enough, I'm not going to deal with a young Spock who apparently left Jim on the surface of a frozen planet. Not that Jim couldn't use a little coolin' down on occasion but that was a bit out of line, even for Spock.

Now, little miss Mun, if your gonna be doin' this, I suggest doin' it right. If you can convince someone to post a Test-Drive meme, since no one seems to care for 'em when you post 'em. You can get plenty of practice there rather than here.

Bending is where you can control an element. I'm an earthbender, so I can control rocks and dirt, plus sand and metal. I'm a really awesome earthbender, too.

Because I'm blind I learned to use earthbending as an extension of my senses, so I can "see" with my feet. Especially vibrations. It's kind of like being a badgermole.

That's some pretty interestin' skills. Sounds a bit like magic, where I come from but I've learned not to doubt what other worlds have to offer.

I like to think of it as another way of interacting with the world.

So you see why I'm kinda not sure... if I could see I might not be able to earthbend as much. It's part of who I am.

I'll be honest, it was an amazin' opportunity. We could remain as close as we were for too long, the brightness of the sun and radioactivity is dangerous and we don't have the kind of shielding on our ship that would protect us.

It was mighty lovely though.

Wow. People have given me descriptions before but I never thought they'd be really bright. They're like the sun?

What's "radioactivity?"

The sun is a star, actually but they're so far from any given planet, that they only appear as small speck of light in the night sky. And it takes millions of years for the light from those stars to reach you. So you're seeing a sun, or a star, as it was millions of years ago.

The official definition is "the spontaneous emission of a stream of particles or electromagnetic rays in nuclear decay" but it's easier to tell you that it's particles that can mutate or destroy human life.
