[looks around the lab.] Uh... Tony? [Bruce vaguely recalls hearing Tony leave but hadn't looked up from his calculations. Looking around again-- as if floundering will conjure Tony, anyone-- Bruce approaches the computer, speaking as he types. He isn't sure which one will reach JARVIS.]
Ah, yes. Mine... well, we've reached a compromise. Yours doesn't seem as understanding.
He began showing me your inner workings. I'm no technocrat, but maybe if I... [quickly begins scanning the firewall program in the hopes that something will jump out at him, mumbling under his breath] Where the hell is Tony?
[looks at what the mun has written and shakes his head.] You've never seen him hungover. [actually, Bruce thinks about the last time Pepper's life had been in danger and how Tony was ready to burn the world to the ground. But he knows better than to mention personal conflict to a meddlesome mun.]
Jarvis, what happens when she gets past the second firewall?
I'll see what I can do, Jarvis, but I think we're outgunned.
[stares at mun's note, a suspicion chilling him.] Can you... hear my thoughts? [he thought that only applied to his mun, and at least he'd extracted some kind of promise from that one. And he's never stolen a movie, hasn't torrented anything since he's been on the run... Is this mun unbalanced?] Listen, Jarvis is sort of essential around here. I don't how integrated he is into the building's design, but he's essential to the Iron Man suit and Tony... he needs that suit.
SHE MENTIONED SOMETHING ABOUT LIKING THE POTENTIAL INTEGRATION. APPARENTLY THIS IS SOME SORT OF TEST RUN. AND THEN--
OH. OH DEAR.
[ no, really! you and the other guy were my favorite part! oh, and another one bites the dust. would you look at that? looks like JARVIS enjoys some retro porn: ] FIREWALL V3.9003.2: 39% ██▓▓▓
[ it's okay loki, JARVIS will help you out. ] FIREWALL V3.9003.2: 38% ██▓▓▓
Firewall A firewall can either be software-based or hardware-based and is used to help keep a network secure. Its primary objective is to control the incoming and outgoing network traffic by analyzing the data packets and determining whether it should be allowed through or not, based on a predetermined rule set. A network's firewall builds a brigade between an internal network that is assumed to be secure and trusted, and another network, usually an external (inter)network, such as the Internet, that is not assumed to be secure and trusted.[1] Many personal computer operating systems include software-based firewalls to protect against threats from the public Internet. Many routers that pass data between networks contain firewall components and, conversely, many firewalls can perform basic routing functions. [2]
Test run for...? [The second firewall fails and the picture pops up on the screen. Bruce chuckles. It really is too bad Tony isn't here, he'd enjoy this. 39% on the last firewall, though... he should probably figure out something before Jarvis lost control completely. Maybe if he turns it off and then back on? :/]
hee, i'm just happy to be put up with at this point...!
[ What kind of supervillainess would she be if she passed over the opportunity to screw with a hero's tech? This would be Pamela inputting a virus, but a relatively harmless one — to turn the make-up of JARVIS green.
What can she say? She likes her desktops at her job themed. Sorry, compubro. ]
