No rabid rats so far. At least, not that I've spotted. I had to deal with some cordyceps-infected giant ants a while back, but that was in the old place. My mun thinks they may have ended up working for a layout and design company.

She's also bouncing about seeing a Topher Brink in play.

Oh, good. That's a pretty big relief on the rat front. Not so much on the giant ant one, though.

Well, the giant ants were pretty well-behaved... just extremely infectious. I probably would have ended up a kinda-sorta zombie except my mun got slammed with term papers right as that plot was heating up. I think I'm relieved by that. It was a cool plot, but there was a real danger of having your head explode there.

Speaking of which, what point of your continuity are you in? She says that if you know Bennett, it must be something called "Season 2?"

My continuity? Uh...that's a bit complicated. Pretty much anywhere the mun-friend decides she wants to play me from. Usually defaults to somewhere in there though, yeah. Season numero dos. Sometimes includes wacky alternate timelines and stuff like that too.

Well, it was I-R-L for a certain value of I-R-L. I'd been abducted into a city in some other world or universe. So, you know, routine stuff. The alternative was a fiery crash into a mountainside so I wasn't making too many objections. Still not sure whether the cordyceps would really have been worse than a semester of literary theory. My mun made me read all of it with her. Did you ever decide whether you liked "thoughtpocalypse" or "brainpocalypse" better? Either way, my mun put me through one of those.

Hopefully your mun doesn't force you to break down very often? You should hold out for a nice AU where Bennett lives forever.

Yeah, I kinda did, actually. Though the terms are still interchangeable, thoughtpocalypse just seems to, y'know, flow better or something. And brainpocalypse sorta makes it sound a bit more like a cheap ripoff of a zombie apocalypse.

Even if that'd be...sort of accurate. In a roundabout way, heheh.

Funny you mention that. There's plenty of those, actually. Which is way awesome. Though one of them does involve going totally bonkers but hey, Bennett's not dead so that makes it better! To a certain degree.

Being a crazy shell of your formerly awesome self is tough, man. Gets really depressing really quick.
