Don't act like putting me anywhere is getting me out of that prison of a city. You wouldn't be doing me any favors; I'd just end up in a different city that's trying to squeeze the last drop of happiness out of me.

Dude, if he was in control and doing the things he was doing, I would have. Maybe not kill him, but definitely would have knocked him out. And maybe broke a rib or arm or something.

Sometimes you gotta fight your family, sad as it is when it happens. If what they're doing is wrong, you not doing anything to stop them is just as bad.

You're lucky; you're strong enough to fight your family and win. That isn't the case for me.

Why not just train until you can kick his ass?

I have been training. Even if I'm stronger than I was three years ago, the problem is that they're training, too.

You gotta get something you can use against them. A powerful technique or something that'll blow 'em away.

I'd teach you my stuff, but a lot of it is related with bloodline. But you can use fire, can't ya? [ His mun told him so. ] I guess that's close to my powers too.

[ Not even surprised that his secret's been leaked again. But at least the people who know and aren't from his world don't want to kill him. Probably. Besides, it sounded like he'd known from the start about Zuko's firebending. ]

...Yeah. I can use fire, but the way I create and control it is probably different from how you do it. You think your moves would translate well enough that I could work them into my own?

Yeah, I figured. Let's see. [ He holds up his finger, and a small flame starts at the tip of it. ]

I just kind of...do it. Controlling it is something I grew up learning, but as far as making it goes, I just kinda tell my body to, and it does it.

A lot of what I do is martial arts though, so it might work.

[ He frowns, takes a breath, then whips out a small fireball in the palm of his hand. ]

I'm guessing you don't rely on chi.

[ At least the martial arts part might work. ]

Nah, I don't really know what chi is. Like I said, it's a bloodline thing. Only people in my clan can do it. There are other clans who have similar abilities, but ours is the fire like the sun's.

There's never been a war or anything with our flames in over, like, 1000 years or something. And that was a different story, strength isn't supposed to be used to terrorize.
