[Contemptuously, he drops down to his knees and kowtows.]

[He could really scream right about now. He is not moving off the ground.]

[He glances up, then plants his head down again when he sees Edgeworth hasn't moved.]

[Edgeworth stays stubbornly still.]

[He holds the silence until he can't take it any longer -]

That'd be the rudest thing I could possibly say!

No. The rudest would be, "I reject your apology for your wrongdoing." That, incidentally, is also an option.

[He makes a helpless noise in his throat. This is all backwards and he almost expects a cane to strike him when he utters:]

Fine. I... accept.

[jurisimpudent]

[He almost didn't expect that to happen. A moment passes, and then he sits up and runs his wrist over his forehead to wipe away the grime there. There's a red splotch.]

...Good.

[shadower]

[Shikamaru picks his head up and sits back on his knees, sighing in exasperation.]

[There's a slight pause.]

...Do you want help up?

[shadower]

Don't need any.

[He drags himself to his feet, massaging his forehead with his palm.]

[jurisimpudent]

[Edgeworth stands up as well, clearing his throat.]

...Right. So. Yes.

[shadower]

Yeah.
