Well, you're right. But I guess they mean because "ghost" implies it used to be something, and as far as I can tell, these spectre things are... nothing? Less than nothing? Voids?

Okay... Demons are pretty bad news in my world, but should we really be generalizing in a situation like this? Has she threatened anybody or anything?

Not yet. [Yeah, the idea of not attacking monsters until they start acting threatening is a new idea for Sabriel.]

But that doesn't mean we should turn ignore her.

I'm pretty sure it's a bad idea to attack people just because of who they are when they haven't done anything wrong.
