Voice-testing (please read info on his journal)
[With barely concealed patience, he sighs.]
Yes, Miss Mundane, I understand the scope of what I am allowed to reveal. I doubt anyone will ask for spoilers though since you've yet to publicise your work.

[He hums non-comittally, assessing the Hibari before him. Hibari was strong as a human; how much stronger is he as a vampire?
For that matter, WHY is Hibari a vampire?]I didn't think you'd be the first one to come by.
[In fact he was rather hoping you wouldn't be.]

(Sniff, sniff. Hm, you're not the one he knows.) Not a human, are you. (But he's smelt this scent before. Vampire. And something else.) How old are you?
no subject
[
AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN EIGHTEEN, MUKURO?]Before you ask, I've been eighteen for about four centuries now. You?

May I ask what your relationship with 'me' is?
no subject
For all intents and purposes, 'you' and I have never met before.

Why would I have an apprentice? I have nothing to teach a human.

This is certainly a surprise.]
'The scope of what you're allowed to reveal'? [That's a very dangerous sort of quiet. It's not even calm before the storm so much as 'calm before all hell breaks loose'.]

This one though... Mukuro peered at the soul of this one and saw little that agreed with the description he'd heard from others.]
Yes... 'Spoilers' and all that, I'm sure you understand.
[That last bit is almost a question, like he's unsure. Instinct is screaming at him to flee from this boy.]
no subject
The intensity and-- bitter, almost betrayed, hateful feeling certainly doesn't match the slight smirk on his face. Certainly not the deceptive stillness.]
Why would I understand anything about you, Rokudo Mukuro? [The whisper-softness of his voice is equally deceptive- he's furious, practically vibrating like a plucked harpstring.
And it's directed with laser focus at Mukuro.]

The demon-vampire actually takes a step back, startled by the animosity rolling off the man.]
I don't expect you to. In fact, I'd rather you didn't.
[Because Tsuna was still just a human, and how could he understand any of the troubles and worries that a non-human half-blood had?]
no subject
Just as the first generation didn't need external aids to trigger a Dying Will state, neither does Tsuna at this point- and he's damned fast. Being tackled like him is a bit like being hit by an SUV at top speeds- certainly painful, and certainly enough to cause severe physical damage.
There was something nagging at the back of his mind about attacking, but the sheer irrational anger that had been growing for nearly ten years blocked that out quite thoroughly. The young man growls, still dangerously quiet.
If you get the feeling the mildness of how he presents himself is inversely proportional with how angry he is- well, you'd be right.]
And why not?
