For the most part, but not always. I'll spare you the messy details of the situation we're in back in my world.

If you're from the world I think you're from, things didn't start off so good between the two of us. I made a mistake and thought you were the enemy. Even after all of that...the Titans came to save me.

[Tim also came to get information on The Culling, which may have been his main objective to begin with, but he doesn't know that and even if he did, they still tried to rescue him.]

We almost got out of N.O.W.H.E.R.E.'s lab but then we were ambushed. I wasn't created by Cadmus and I never spent any time in Hawaii. I was bred by N.O.W.H.E.R.E. to serve Harvest as a Ravager in the Culling. Before you ask...I'm still not sure what that means.

Anyway, the rescue turned into a bust but I will find a way out of there for everyone. I owe you all that much.

I...well. For my sake, I'm glad to report that I'm not from the world you think I'm from. For your sake, "good luck" seems a little weak to say.

We'll need more than luck to get out of this situation, but it's still appreciated. [Nods.] I didn't mean you were from the same world as me, my guess is you're from the world where we're friends and work together as the Titans?

I'd offer more than luck if I could. But yeah, that's right. Or--well, "worked together" would be a little more accurate. It's been kind of a solo gig lately.

[Huh, this is new. Gives him a curious look.]

We're not friends back in your world?

No, we are, you just-- [Hm. Hm, hm, hm.] --it's--all messy details. You were...pretty dead for a long time. [Or it felt long.] Anyway, I took a break from the Titans to do some personal work.

So I've heard. [Reaches up and rubs his face, being a look alike of someone's dead boyfriend has brought on some serious complications.]

When everything settles down in my world...I want to be friends with the Titans there. I want to be friends with the you I know where I'm at now. [There's another pause and this time a small grin.] But you don't make that easy. I've met a couple of yous from your world [Okay, this is getting a little confusing.] and it always feels like I'm talking to the Inquisition at first.

[redripoff]

You are, for all intents and purposes. [A little frown.] Look, just--I'm--we're not good at friends. The friendship thing. And we don't spend a lot of time doing things we're not good at. Usually someone else is there to cover our weaknesses.

Just don't quit.

I am there, it's a work on progress where I'm at. Dick and Steph are easy to get along with, so is Cassie. [There's a brief smile on his face before he catches the frown on Tim's face.]

I don't think you give yourself enough credit. I don't think you'd have the people you have in your life if you weren't.

Good. You'll get points for tenacity at the very least. Where...where are you trying to get along, anyway? And if you say spaceship, you better come prepared with details.

It is a spaceship, so I have details for you. It's a literal ship in space known as the Barge. It travels to different places and collects Inmates and Wardens on the way. Inmates are people who the Admiral has decided need to be "worked on" to become better people. Wardens as the ones responsible for making it happen, they get something in exchange for it. Like they can change the outcomes of things that have happened back home. [Can think of a few things he'd like to change.]

It's not a situation I exactly want, but I don't mind it either. It gives me a chance to control my powers in a safe environment and I'm not trapped there either. Once I learn more about ethics, morality, and power control, I can graduate and go home or stay there.

[redripoff]

I know I'm not saying anything novel, but these places are terrible. That's terrible.

It's not that bad, at least I have a purpose there. I've heard of other places where whoever is sent there is constantly experimented on. [His eyes darken for a moment and there's a flicker of red as his TTK kicks in.

Shakes his head.]

Is your mun thinking of sending you somewhere?

[He's actually fairly familiar with that type of place! At that snap of red though, he shuts his mouth around pointing that out.] Ah--she has a few ideas. I hate to say it, but they don't really look that bad comparatively. No experiments, no spaceships. Yet.

[Superboy likely wouldn't last long in a place like that. Next person who tries to experiment on him without his permission (he does want to find out more about this DNA...) is going to have to kill him or else he's destroy all of their entire lab and then some.]

That's good, even if she takes some time to decide where to send you, this place isn't so bad. There's lots of freedom and it beats half of the memes my mun has sent me to. [Makes an exasperated face.]

Ah, the memes! I've steered happily clear of those, myself. Mostly out of terror.

Lucky you, I haven't had much of a choice. Some have been nice but others make me think when it comes to those things she has no shame.

Wouldn't that work against trying to be more moral and ethical? Shame is a good deterrent to a lot of bad things.
