Ah, excellent, you received the message. This isn't quite the amount of progress I'd anticipated, but it's reasonable, I suppose. A decent start. Let's not put it off any longer: beginning tomorrow, let's, as they say, get the ball rolling. I'm counting on you, mundane.

Best,
Sebastian Michaelis

Sigh. To follow at your heels, eternally, picking apart your every cog, studying the way your gears twist, that's my dream. ♥

Comfortable for you, maybe. You're accustomed to wasting your time listening to little children voice their wildly unintelligent opinions. I'm not. I have better things to do.

Of course not! My struggles are far more epic than that. I'm inconvenienced, bordering on aggravated, but most definitely not struggling.

I can adapt to any~thing. I wasn't the worst at playing human, you know. Don't say you think you so low of me! I'll pout.

Charade?? It was no such thing. I lived and breathed my part in our little morality play. I was the finest actress in London, although I would have preferred a credited role. My name up on a billboard, you know. It would have been marvelous~.

You could have pretended to be fooled, anyway. Calling me out, the way you did, was sooo impolite. It could have been our~ little~ secret~.

Somewhere better, I should think.

But per~haps you're right, darling. It isn't true, what Oscar Wilde said. Not of the likes of us, anyway. We're infinitely more prone to lying, behind masks, wouldn't you agree? You lie in every word! Your very appearance is a lie, and so was mine, back then. I'm as honest a woman as I can be, now. And no, I don't relish the thought of trading away speaking freely to you.
