Hey! You!

Hasn't it been a whole month now? That's a very long time, you know. A very, very long time! Practically... well, I guess it's not forever but it sure seems like it.

I miss it. I miss Azkedillia and Vala and Steve and Balthier and all my friends. So much. And Jayne! I know he's big and tough and absolutely brilliant when it comes to catching mice but... but he's mine. He's never had anyone else take care of him before.

Not fair. Couldn't he at least have come with me?

Maybe you should go and re-watch my episode. Re-watch and redo my application and let me go back. Or let me go somewhere else. The universe is still this big place. So many planets to see and bad guys to defeat.

And you've barely let me begin! Get on that, will you?

How are you? [She pulls away, looking at him with eager eyes.] Still travelling? Seeing planets and rescuing people and running?

Of course I am. I've still got plenty of worlds left to see.

[It's exactly what she wants to hear. That her father's still being as every bit amazing as she imagined. It makes losing him all the more bearable.]

I'm just glad you got out of there.

[She doesn't know whether to be happy or sad at seeing him again. Because what she feels is definitely some mixture of the two. And guilt.]

[He's sad, yes - but glad, too, that she got out.] I know. It wasn't your fault, we all know that.

I should've put up more of a fight. Should've made her take you all with me. How am I supposed to ever be like Dad if I couldn't even do that?
